Jens Lissat ist nun schon seit mehr als 20 Jahren einer der Großen der Szene, wird von Insidern auch gerne liebevoll als "Godfather of Techno" betitelt.
Seine ungewöhnliche Karriere begann in den 80er Jahren !Er produzierte Tanzhymnen wie "I can..t take the power(Offshore) ,", "Who is Elvis", "Der Erdbeermund", Energy flow eternal , The Future , und seinen grösster Erfolg, das Interactive- Remake "Forever Young", welches noch heute in Form einer goldenen Platte seine Privaträume ziert.
Die Vielseitigkeit seiner Produktionen und die immer wieder überraschenden, unkonventionellen Ideen, die er im Studio einbringt, sind sein Geheimrezept. Zusammen mit anderen Visionären , wie zb. seinem Produktionspartner, Voltaxx oder auch Pierce & Khetama, arrangiert und produziert er bis spät in die Nacht, reizt bei seinen Produktionen alle Grenzen der elektonischen Musik aus. Jens bereicherte die Dancefloorszene mit bis dato über 300 Produktionen, die alle seine unverkennbare Handschrift tragen.
Als DJ kennt er fast jeden Laden, heizt bundes- und weltweit die Clubs mit seinem electronisch gestyltem House-sound, ein. Seine neuen Releases erscheinen auf trendsetter labels, wie zb: Ministry of sound ,Toolroom Records UK , Kingdom Kome Cuts ,Sneakerz Muzikl ! Auch als Remixer, ist er mit seinem Partner Voltaxx zur Zeit eines der angesagtesten Produktionsduos. Mit ihrem No.1 UK remix von Delerium - Silence und weiteren Remixes für u.a Eddie Thoneick, belegten sie weltweit Toppositionen in diversen Charts (z.B. Beatport)! Highlight 2008 war ihr eigener Track "Release yourself", der die No.1 Position etlicher Digital Platformen erreichte und 2009 mit neuen Remixen für Furore sorgte!
Das neueste release auf Toolroom/Lons ist derzeit der Clubtrack of the month, und weitere neue tracks sind fertig gestellt und warten darauf die floors zu erobern!

For over 20 years now, Jens Lissat is one of the biggest names in the club scene. Insiders gave him the nickname "Godfather Of Techno".. His extraordinary carrer startet in Hamburg when the early days of disco music began (1979). He started collecting records and learned mixing by himself. He played in all the hip locations at that time. 1987 he released his first record which similar was the" first "german House record as well. The track was called "Work The House Sound". In 1990 he created one of the biggest selling techno anthems ever "Who Is Elvis" with his partner Ramon Zenker. At the same time they launched their own label "No Respect Records". From now on he played on raves and in clubs around the whole world, just to mention a few: Mayday, Loveparade, Tribal Gathering, Nature One etc. . During the years his successful story continued with tracks like: "der Erdbeermund", "Offshore - I can..t take the power", "Interactive - Dildo, Who is Elvis, Amok, Forever Young...".
After all he released more than 300 productions so far. His current sound is a electronic styled Housemusic. He is still a workaholic with his studio-partner Voltaxx. You can see him regularly at the " THE FUNKY CHICKEN CLUB/COLOGNE!

Under the name of Lissat & Voltaxx hide no others than the well known producers Jens Lissat and Marco Wolters. They already worked together for several projects over the years. Since 2006 they release under their alias "Lissat & Voltaxx". Their Tracks are released on trendbreaking labels like Toolroom, Sneakerz Muzik, Kingdom Kome Cuts and Ministry of Sound. The "L & V" style varies between Progressive, House and Tech-House. 2008 was a very succesful year for them, as they remixed the No.1 UK song “Silence” by Delerium ,which also hit the top 10 charts in over 8 countries. Also their Remix for Eddie Thoneicks “Watcha want” hit the charts high and was on the playlist of most global players. The biggest success 2008 was in september, with their own track “Release yourself”! The track hit No.1 position at several digital platforms, and was re-released in 2009 with a very hot remix package. As a DJ team they tour all over the world with unforgetable gigs and created already mass-hysteria! 2009 starts like a good year as they already finished some hot new remixes for Roger Sanchez, Nick Bridges, Austin Leeds, Tom Novy and Tomcraft !
Their trax on the Eric E label Sneakerz Muzik is doin dammage on the international floors.
And now Toolroom welcome's back Lissat & Voltaxx for their third release on ‘Leader’s Of The New School’. Hot on the heels of their fantastic ‘Sunrise Over Mali’ release (which featured standout mixes from D-Nox & Beckers, Phunk Investigation & more), their production technique and profile is pricking the ears of some of the biggest Dj’s in the scene Dubfire, Fedde Le Grand, Paolo Mojo, Groove Armada, D.Ramirez, Tocadisco, Thomas Gold, Roog, David Penn, Chris Lake and more.
Covering all bases musically, there are no less than seven mixes to choose from!!
Not content with being pigeon holed to any one sound, the Lissat & Voltaxx original mix sets off rolling along with a solid house groove taking elements of all genre’s, incorporating loads of FX trickery and an excellent delayed Piano stab. Gradually building the pace with layer upon layer of sound.
Dj Wady rightly so, is a name on the tip of everyone’s tongue at the moment. He turns in a brilliant take on the Original, setting the pace from the starting blocks with an up-tempo samba-esque rhythm. Manuel De La Mare is another hotly tipped star of the future, and we can see why here… He is on form with a dubbier blistering tech house cut that has you jumping up and down screaming for more. Other remixes come from Eric Entrena, Kid Chris, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, whilst not forgetting the Original Instrumental from Lissat & Voltaxx themselves.
All in all a tasty package that is sure to please everyone from the Deep House fraternity to the uplifting prog house, tech & techno heads.
