I am a bassplayer, producer and composer living in Lund, Sweden. I work in my own studio called Loplay Studio.
Besides from composing, playing and releasing music as Jens Loden or Reunion, (my joint project with Mathias Landaeus) I have made music for a number of radio and tv programmes, for instance Studio Ett which is broadcasted daily on Swedish national radio P1, and Sverige! - a cultural tv-programme broadcasted once a week on Swedish national tv-channel SVT2.
In Loplay Studio I also have produced albums and made remixes for Sofi Hellborg, Behrang Miri, Maximus, Universal Poplab and Per Texas Johansson. My own musical projects have been remixed by for instance Mikael Stavostrand, Henrik Schwarz, Jimpster and Orlando Voorn.
Since 2008 I also somehow manage to study interactive sounddesign and object oriented programming at Kristianstad University. So far programming in Processing, Java and Max/Msp.
BIOGRAPHY:
I was born in the south of Sweden 1969. Started taking piano lessons at the age of six and continued with that until I started to form bands and play the bass at age 12. The bass more and more became my main instrument from then on. At 17 I applied for Skurups Folkhögskola. Got accepted and studied improvisation/jazz/bass there for two years. Then was fully occupied with playing in Agurk Players for a couple of years. Started learning soundengineering and producing through an internship at Tambourine Studios. Made Agurk Players' albums there. Had a break from music around 1995-97 as my ears had started ringing and I became oversensitive to sound. Struggled with depression and panic attacks for several years. Couldn't find much else to do but painting, drawing, listening to techno and composing some strange pianomusic. Lived on wellfare. Studied philosophy. Got more and more into painting and then studied full time for a year at the art school "Lunds konstskola". Had a couple of exhibitions. Picked up music again around 97-98 with an old mac with cubase synced to my brothers 12-channel tapemachine, a DX7, a sampler and a tape echo. Quit painting 1999. (still waiting for my visual creativity to find a new outlet by the way) Made a couple of tracks. Made a remix for a band that was going to be released on the then new label Sonar Kollektiv. Sent my tracks to them and they released a 12" (ignition/cargo) with one of my own tracks and one with me and Mathias Landaeus - we started calling ourselves Reunion then. The following years several releases with Reunion at Sonar Kollektiv + many contributions on compilations. I also made a very appreciated remix album on Emi with Per Texas Johansson (Holon - Per Texas Johansson Remixad av Jens Loden), a minimal techno 12" on Mikael Stavostrands label Sunset Diskos, wrote an arrangement for a string quartet for a one off collab with Iraqy singer-songwriter/oudplayer Natik Awayez that turned out well, so we continued with some 10 arrangements/compositions by Natik and me. The constellation was called Sheharzad. I produced a recording with them in nimm studio (which was run by me and Damn) that was later released on Fine Art Recordings with a Henrik Schwarz remix.
I released my first full length album "automatismism" using my own name in 2006 on the Swedish label ajabu. Several releases lately on Fine Art Recordings.

Am 07.11. präsentieren Timeless Events und rheinTime Entertainment wieder mal einen Leckerbissen für die Freunde der elektronischen Tanzmusik zu Beginn der kälteren Wintermonate. An diesem Tag hat das rheinTime Team wieder mal einen ganz besonderen musikalischen Leckerbissen für seine Gäste am Start! Niemand geringes als Len Faki, Berliner Dj-Urgestein und musikalisches Aushängeschild eines der besten Clubs der Welt: Das Berghain in Berlin. Nach einer kurzen künstlerischen Pause und dem Umzug nach Berlin, rief er die Labels Figure und Podium ins Leben. Len ist bekannt für seine unwiderstehlichen Sets und hat sich durch eigene Produktionen wie “My Black Sheep“ oder “Mekong Delta“ auch als Produzent durchgesetzt! Im letzten April brachte er mit der Berghain 03 – Pt. 2 auch seine erste Mix-CD auf den Markt gebracht, die auch die Vielseitigkeit des Dj’s Len Faki wiederspiegelt! Die Presse nannte die Berghain 03 “eine Adrenalinspritze für jedes Ravers Herzen“, so dass sich gefreut werden darf auf ein bisschen Berghain im Kölner Underground Club!
Rund um Len Faki werden die Elektroküche Heads Chisee und Jagger ihr Feiervolk wie gewohnt ordentlich auf Trapp halten. Nach vielen Stunden im Studio werden an diesem Abend auch wieder einige ihrer neuen rheinTime Releases exklusiv zu hören sein.
