JenSomeone has been singing since the age of three since she was put on top of the table to sing for her family. Influenced by the tastes of her father and her sister. Jen grew up initially listening to Elvis Prestley, The Beach Boys and Everley brothers and eventually fell in love with Broadway.
It was at the age of 13 that she discovered she could write songs. Once she started, she just couldn't stop. It was in writing these songs that she came alive the most. All throughout high school and college, Jen continued to write songs and performed at the Edge Tour in Markert Market, Edge radio launch in Lucena and guested on some radio shows. It was only in second year college in a class called Creative Process where she was challenged to truly face her creative frustrations and take steps towards realizing her dream. That's when Jen came out with her first demo.
In 2006, Jen got signed to an indie label called Last Minute Productions. They were set to record a 14 track LP and hopefully release it in Manila Philippines and hopefully market it internationally. In 2007, After almost a year of working on the recordings and major changes in the direction of LMP, Jen decided it was time to try it out with a different producer.
The end of 2007, Jen got linked up with a family friend Dan Gil (of Chilitees) and owner of Liquid Post Studios. Jen eventually worked on a new sound on 3 of her songs with Mikey of Ciudad and Jazz of Itchyworms producing it.
Jen is continuing to make music and hopes that this 2008 is the year where she can share her music with the world.
"I've come to realize that all you really need to be someone is to be yourself. I hope that whoever comes across my music is inspired to pursue their own dreams as well."
