Hello. My name is Jeoff Harris, and I am 17 years old.
I love music. Even since I was little, my heart has been drawn to it. I feel free knowing that I can express my inner most emotions without words. While, also with words, I greatly enjoy finding ways to validate others and dictate thoughts and ideas that, potentially, they couldn’t have otherwise expressed. It has become a strong burden of mine to change the lives of people around me with what ability I have. Whether or not I am destined to impact millions of peoples’ lives through music I suppose is still up for discussion. But it can’t hurt me to dream, can it?
It is not my goal, as a writer, to impress listeners with my tasteful style, unique chord progressions, and catchy lyrics. My foremost desire in my music is to meet people where they are, while being honest with myself about who I am and who I want to be. And if my aspirations grow into more than just hypothetical ideals, into opportunities, the prayer I keep for myself is not to lose sight of what matters most: never sacrificing truth for anything easier.
Presently, I write, record, produce, and master my music; which is accessible online through Facebook, email, or otherwise. All instruments, including lead vocals / harmony parts, and instrumentation were written, arranged, and performed (without loops...) by me on my MacBook using Logic Express 8. These things can only take me so far as an artist. Hopefully, through the insane infinity of the internet, the next step will be clear sooner than later. I would love to connect with musicians, producers, or anyone else who believes in me. ☺
