I never knew Jerae but became friends with her mother less than a year after Jerae was murdered and I tried for over a year to get The Jerae James Foundation off of the ground and there was just no interest here at least not that I could find. I found people that would show interest at first and then never follow through and I just could not do it on my own.. I still like to do what I can for missing children and adults and also for victims of abuse. I am a survivor of domestic violence.

September 2006 Jerae James' murderer gets life in prison
Luther D Martin, 25 got life in prison without the chance of parole for the murder of Jerae and her unborn baby Jalin
She was thrown in the trunk of her own car, she was still alive and concious hey tried to get the gas cap off and were unsuccessful they could not get the gas cap off so they tried to start a fire in the engines oil They started a fire in the passenger compartment. Two other men who were implicated in the case Donald Robinson and Steve Ragas, were both soldiers in the 5th Engineer Battalion at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri along with Martin at the time of the murder. She was taken to soon and all responsible need to pay for their part in her murder. She is loved and missed by many

About me:
Jerae was born on February 19, 1984 in Rolla, Mo, She is one of two daughters born to the union of Randal and Jeannie James. Jerae departed this life October 9, 2001 in rural Pulaski county, Missouri at the age of 17.

Who I'd like to meet:
Jerae loved to talk, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was a sweet person with a good heart. She was beautiful inside and out and her family and friends will never bee the same without her. She was happy that she was going to be a mother and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Jalen TaMara.. But Jerae and her unborn babies lives were cut short
