I have wanted to be a broadcaster for as long as I can remember, so radio was my hobby, my hope and dream, and now its my ministry. I also love the idea of traveling around the U.S. and to certain places across the world. Politics, baseball, football and basketball, and history are all interests, as is good conversation with interesting people.
Music
My favorite group of all time is U2 ... but there's not much music I don't like - other than older country, most disco and early to mid 80's Top 40 (the rock music was ok.) Love Christian Rock (Skillet, Switchfoot & Kutless) and Hip Hop (John Reuben & Grits) and Modern Worship (David Crowder) still a big fan of the 90's groups like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, Pop Music like Kelly Clarkson - Pop-Rock like Chris Daughtry and Fuel - really got in to the music of the 60's and 70's, Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack, some Big Band too.
Movies
For a while I wanted to go to film school - so I can't even come close to narrowing this one down (not that I narrowed anything down in the music category.) I have favorite films and top ten lists in all genres. The movies I saw recently that really impacted me were "The Bucket List," "The Darjeeling Limited," "The Brave One," "3:10 to Yuma," "Gone Baby Gone" and "United 93." Television
I watch a lot of TV on DVD since I'm too cheap to get a Dish with Tivo.
For Comedies - its MASH, Seinfeld and The Office. Although, the older shows like Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy, the Beverly Hillbillies and The Monkees make me laugh out loud to this day!
For dramas - I love shows that HOOK you in episode after episode with incredible acting and detailed story lines like: 24, The Shield, Heroes and The X-Files. When I can I try to catch House, I like Hugh Laurie - but I think it's Jumped the Shark like Prison Break did.
My favorite show of all time is LOST. If you're a fan of the show, and haven't seem these MISSING PIECES of the show, take a moment to check them out. Very, VERY cool stuff.
Books
I used to read all the time - but I'm getting lazy I guess: Lately I've been reading Donald Miller, Ted Dekker, Rob Bell, CS Lewis. I also am a fan of Chaim Potok. I seem to be reading more magazines and blogs - right now Relevant Magazine is on my coffee table.
Heroes
My wife: She's taught me how to be strong and forgive.
My Dad: He taught me how to take care of a family.
My Mom: She taught me how to love your kids and chase a dream.
My Grandpa Larry: He's the best Grandpa a guy could ever have.
My Pastor, Tim Rhodus: Who's taught me so much about Christ.
Brett Favre, Former Field General of the Green Bay Packers: He is a Man's Man, a High School Hero of mine, and his retirement announcement on March 6th 2008, to me, is a great moment where humility, passion, honoring your employer, transparency, family and sports all came together and only solidified why I look up to him:
About me: I moved around a little as a kid ... moving from the suburbs to a beef farm when I was 11 - and then a working dairy farm when I was 14 (!!) I soon realized that farm life was not for me, and went down a long road of dangerous experimentation. I got into radio when I was 21, got saved a year later, and got into Christian Radio at WIBI in 2005 with the help of my best bud Joe Buchanan.
Currently, I'm a husband, father, morning host, station manager, fledgling author, music afficianado, friend and hopefully above all of those things -
A Christ Follower.

This popular bird is kept as a pet in homes all over the world. Originating from Australia, parakeets like warm weather and lots of seeds and fruit. They are also known for being messy and quite loud! But you cannot look at one without falling in love.
