About me:

Jeremiah Cain was born June 10, 1979 in Mobile, Alabama, and was the eldest of three brothers and two sisters: Rebecca, Amy, Nathan, and Aaron.

He began writing as far back as kindergarten, creating a series of illustrated children's book and various plays which were acted out by himself and sister as well as cousins. Later, in high school, he became president of the Creative Writing Club (renamed "the Realm" during his term) and expanded it to include visual artists.

Months out of high school, Cain joined the United States Army to serve as a Medic. During this time, he set his writing aside, instead focusing on all the many pleasures so many young adult focus on when they move away from home.

In 2004, after an honorable discharge from the army, Cain moved to Atlanta where he eventually became involved with the industrial scene.

Currently, Jeremiah Cain is a novelist whose works portray the darker recesses of epic fantasy. His passion for past theologies, myths, and magick create depth within his cultures while time in the U.S. Army brings both realism and structure to his armies. Finally, his role in the industrial scene shades his fictional world with tantalizing morsels of iniquity.

After living away for ten years (most of which spent in Atlanta), he has, in January of '08, return to his hometown, where he lives with artist Liam Preston, a cat named Morpheus, and a dog named Havok.

On Sep 14, 2009, his first novel Slaves to the Empowered was published beginning the Lagéyan Lore series.

About my Novel:

Slaves to the Empowered introduces us to the world of Lagéya, a brilliant world steeped in forbidden magick, warring cultures, and clashing politics. Most live by the sword in this world where the greatest kingdom, the Divine Yigan Confederacy, maintains dominance by crushing any nation that will not submit to them.

"The True Light is the only way. All others will perish."

The Gellic Nation has only survived because the Confederacy needs them. However, this tribal nation is very aware how easily their ally could destroy them. They also know the Confederacy's need of them is waning.

The Gels must obey when they are ordered into lands held by dark magick to eliminate a malevolent cult. In sinister lands, they find people practicing wicked and sexual activities, find sorcerers engaging in a dark ritual to infuse an army with infernal powers.

But sometimes good and evil are not as they first seem, and sometimes when the light betrays you, a greater ally can be found in the dark.
