Bio
Peace, my name is Jeremiah Hosea. I am a bassist/vocalist /producer, activist, martial-artist (Ying-Jow-Pai, Northern Eagle-Claw Kung Fu), chess teacher and a self-trained intellectual. I've been playing bass professionally for nine years. I have had the honor of touring with the likes of: Olu, James 'Blood' Ulmer,Tamar-Kali, Gigi, Karsh Kale, Moonbootlover, Ladell McLin, Imani Uzuri, Lily Haydn and Maya Azucena to name a few. I am a proud co-founder of the artist/activist collective earthdriver. My musical influences are as diverse as I am, and I have ancestry from every continent except Antarctica and Australia. Politically my influences are also extensive; From John Henrik Clarke to Guy Debord, from Pam Africa to Arundati Roy. Don't mean to be a party pooper but I do believe the world is in crisis and that it is our responsiblity. It's not about being a drag, it's about the Message of Love, and ultimately a new kind of human being. I think all the major problems in the world (environmental, social, etc.) are entirely solveable. It's not just the neo-cons, it's an entire ruling class that has perfected the demented art of profiting off of misery and injustice. -
