Hello, everyone. My name is Jeremy. Seems odd that I should have to mention that, but considering about 1% of anyone on Myspace uses their real name, I thought the confirmation would be nice.

Anyways, me in a nutshell. Well, probably the first thing people notice about me is that I am a "big" guy. Not that thats something I aspire to be, just kind of a comfort vs. happiness kind of thing. I am actually on a new weight loss effort. I dropped 70lbs since Sept 11th 08, have about 130 left to lose. Sept 11th 2007 I quit smoking cigarettes after 17 years. Probably the next really noticeable thing out me is that I'm usually at the extreme end of being introverted or outgoing depending on my comfort level. I can talk a pretty good line of bullshit when I'm buying, selling, or dealing with people in a professional situation. I nimbly dance around a conversation with the flexibility to handle whatever twists and turn it may take. In personal situations, like meeting friends of friends or new people at a bar, however,I am very quite and reserved. These type of situations leave me feeling very inadequate and insecure. Around my closest friends, though...I am the complete opposite, to say the least. I am very outspoken, opinionated, confident, loud and quite often obnoxious . When I am with my friends I sing silly songs, make inappropriate childish sexual, racial, and cultural references, eat like a pig, snore like a freight train, am a total hypocrite, speak gibberish, repeat catchphrases, ask odd and offensive questions, basically act like you average 10 year old. Then there is that last part of me that is really paranoid and pessimistic about everything. That is the least known and last side you ever meet. Only the closest people in my life ever get to know this version of me. This is the afraid of the doctor, afraid of the dark, afraid of commitment, afraid of flying, illness, relationships, intimacy, high winds, me.

I am a jack of all trades, master of none. I tend to learn things to a point very quickly and then plateau. I just don't need to have a detailed, intimate knowledge of something to enjoy it. You can call it lazy, I will call it efficient. I dabble in Photography, Videography (see FatherAndSonTuesday.com), video gaming, karaoke, and bowling, and now hiking, although I am not especially good at any of them. I always like to have a nice home theater system, car stereo system, and computer setup. I think technology is fun and thats usually the kind of stuff I buy.

I'm really not political, but there are a few issues I feel pretty strong about: Separation of Church and State, Abortion (I'm pro), and, The Right to Bear Arms. I also think the welfare system is too easy to manipulate and we pay celebrities too much. I am for gay marriage, but I don't think any marriage should be a legal document; It should be a promise to another person or a spiritual thing if that's what you're in to. I am legally and technically a Reverend, although not what you are probably thinking. I am not religious and don't work at a church, but I can legally officiate weddings.

Hmmm. What else? I guess thats pretty much it. I cant imagine more than a handful of people making it this far. One last thing I will say: be yourself. Obviously there are appropriate times to lie (work, parents, police), and censor yourself. Obviously your friends, family, and demography is going to influence you. I am not saying to avoid mainstream media or go to great lengths to look different from everyone else. I just mean, be you. Don't lie about what you like or who you are anymore that you have to and definitely don't change that for anyone. People respect you more when you disagree with them, than if you lie.
