I am fascinated by the use of shapes in making symbols; the power of symbols to give meaning and insight into our existence; our progress as a species, holding on to knowledge, the realm of communication, expression, the birth of order and purpose, music, art, philosophy, religion, science.Art Nouveau. It was a playground,design approach to art. stylized. fresh air. cubism and dada, diffusion of light, depiction of movement, abstraction of the mind; optical illusions, what you see is not what it means, sarcasm, satire, the ridiculed existence, political, pop art, op art. Art opened into a universe art is a necessity the world can't live without. It is mankind's most important contribution to it's own awakening. Art was here before we knew what to call it and it will be here long after we are not.
