I do some tunes solo in the studio. I like gigging solo on acoustic though electric guitar is getting the vote more these days, again. A side project called 'The Big Daddy Funk Orchestra' features Scott Symes on Drums, Rohan Kay on guitar and myself on Bass.
Sounds Like
Sounds like lots of different things. I'm one of the many artists these days, like Beck for example, who blurs the boundaries of style and genre through having listened to every thing from waves breaking on the beach through to amplified circular saw slicing through steel plate, 2 different kinds of white noise, like white light, comprising all the colours of the spectrum. Watch out for the sparks they're hot.
Born in the deepest south, Invercargill NZ and raised on 'Ready To Roll' and the one radio station in Alexandra, you would be on the right track if you imagined my music walking a knife edge between the outright unforgettable and the downright obscure. Based in Melbourne since 2000 I'm now working as a producer more than as a performer, but don't worry when there is a show it's like a rocketship to the moon.
It was lovely working with you, we love your studio! I think the view gave us special powers hehe. Thanks for the your input and the super quick turnaround on the song as well!
Hey Jezza, i've been having a play around with my new recording interface and compression/limiting. I wrote 2 new songs and did a cover of that mountain goats song i played at your place. I'm interested to know what you reckon of the outcome. I mainly used preset settings but they worked alright i reckon. Top 3 songs are the ones to check out. How'd you go with that idea for secret song?
I'd say it was quite likely that a god was there given the calibre of your artistry, perhaps he was able to disguise his/her aura in order to avoid distracting you...
Hey dude, nice set the other night. I just realised that you signed off as Murray on my page...HAHAHA - that's how ingrained that image of you is, it didn't even register =o)
Hey man, how's it going? Just checking in to see how the gig went mate? Hopefully all good. I'm floating about Chicago for a few more days then I am on my last leg of the trip back to San Francisco then home. See ya soon man. Take it easy. - Shane
Hi Jeremy. How's the music going? I was gonig through some of my recorded CDs the other night and was listening to that rather ambient, yet bizzare opera like piece we did. And you know what, I really like it. Maybe I'll put it on as a hidden track on one of my albums one day. I'll come and watch you gig sometime soon.
