In no particular order:
Music,
Sports,
Sex,
Drugs,
and
Rock n' Roll. Let's throw a little Ketel & Redbull in there too. I'm sure I have more interests than this but I'm too tired to remember them.
But none of these are any fun without great friends. Well...only need one of them for the sex.
Music
..
Almost anything electronic. Mainly any form of progressive. That includes house, breaks, electro, techno, progessive-progressive, and trance....although I use the term trance lightly. These are also the genres I myself play as a dj. I'm not going to list my favorites today because there are just too many, but my earlier influences for djing were Sasha & Digweed(more Diggers than Sasha these days), Dave Seaman, Deep Dish(not so much anymore), BT(his music not his djing). My list of favorites is much more in depth now, but this section will be long enough already. I wll say I love that DJ Jeremy Reese guy though...he rocks. I've also been know to listen to a little drum and bass. I do expand beyond the relm of electronic music. Give me so good classic rock : Led, Aerosmith, U2 (more old than new), Eagles, AC/DC, Tho Who, Pink Floyd, so on and so forth. Give me those 80s hair bands: Guns and Roses, Aerosmith(again), Bad English, Motley Crue, etc. Rap and hip hop, only from the late 80s and early 90s: Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube, Ice T, LL Cool J, Run D MC, Biggie, 2 Pac, Too Short, DJ Quick. etc. You know the classics. And of coarse the rock of the early to mid 90s: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Blind Melon, Aerosmith(again), Soul Asylum, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, and of coarse Sublime. Almost anything new in the last 8-10 years...CRAP!!! with a few exceptions. Good music to me is a matter of what went into to making it. It is the truest expression of life. It shapes the world around us. I even have the tattoo to confirm my belief in this. I can appriciate any kind music that is quality. I can even appriciate country if it's good. But most likely, if you play it around me, I'll punch you in the face!!!
Movies
In no particular order:
Fifth Element, Almost Famous, The Matrix (only the original), Real Genius, The Karate Kid (what?), Hudson Hawk, Major League, Rudy, and 40 Year Old Virgin is growing on me.
I'll think of more later.
Television
I watch a way too much TV. These are my favorites though. Also in no paricular order:
That 70's Show (not so much the newer ones), CSI (Vegas, and only Vegas), Nip/Tuck, Grey's Anatomy, Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons, Married With Children (don't care if they're all re-runs), Fear Factor (it's not a reality show), Around the Horn (sports show), PTI (sports show), Sportscenter (spor...you get it). There's a few more but these are the ones I will watch whenever they are on.
Books
Anything Micheal Crichton, all kinds of sci-fi and fantasy. Problem is I spend too much time on my music, watching TV, and playing EA sports games and working. My girlfriend keeps reminding me of that fact.
Heroes
I am my own hero. This is not meant to sound conceited, there are many people I have been influenced by. Friends, family, and musicians. But I only model myself after myself. It's a good way to live.
About me: Well, I've lived in or near LA my entire life. My passion used to be playing sports, mainly soccer. Over the years my passion has switched from sports to music. Although now that I don't play sports, I watch them all the time. If you really want to get me talking...just bring up anything sports related:) I've been djing since 2000. I went to the SAE Institute for music producton. So I will keep you updated on my production work. My djing has picked up in recent years playing gigs for the likes of GIANT, Vanguard, Monday Night Social, Avalon, Spundae, EM Sundays and The Fonda Theatre (4:Score's Progression) and more. I can tell you there are plenty more in the future as well. I'll keep you updated. I'm a resident DJ for 4:Score Entertainment (4scoreentertainment.com) along with Brian Scott, Travis Nicol, and Blake Eggleston and a common guest on beatfreaksradio.com hosted by DJ Ology. As far as my "day job"...I'm a promoter. I've been involved in club promotion since 2002. Past and current promoters and venues I've worked for include: GIANT (giantclub.com), Monday Night Social (budbrothers.com), Wiredla.com, Vanguard, Avalon, Chemistry (chemistryla.com), 4:Score Entertainment, Traffic Events, and quite a few other random promoters and venues over the years. I was the Promotions Director for GIANT for 2 years until recently (left on good terms just so you know). If you ever want to find me, just go to GIANT at Vanguard on Saturday (on the smoking patio), or Monday Night Social (on the patio), or possibly King King on a Friday night. Other than that not quite sure where I'll be. Now that I'm not promoting fulltime who knows where I'll pop up. When I'm not out working or out and about in Hollywood, I'm at my apartment in Valencia spending time with my girl...just might even be my favorite place to be. Now if you want anymore info about me, you're just going to have to ask. So hit me up on myspace here or at GIANT's myspace.. or e-mail me at jeremy@giantclub.com.
Just so you know...I add many many people to this myspace for promo and dj purposes. Please say hi to me when you see me out and about. I'm bad with names and getting worse with faces. I want to know you all. Just know despite my job...I'm a fairly quiet good natured guy. Just come up and talk to me...I'm sure you'll like me:) Also...I respond to all my messages and bulletin. So I hope to hear from and see you all soon.

On FRI June 6, INCOGNITO Global and CACHEMUSIC present…GET DOWN @KING KING with the elusive DJ MILES MAEDA*
Miles Maeda is one of the pioneering members of Chicago‘s house scene in the early 90’s. His contributions to the EDM world are innumerable, from 'Material' night at Shelter with Colette and Josh Werner (Antenna), 'Atmospheric Audio Chair' with Josh and Ken Waagner (Hit It), and his current residency at the Smartbar, along with fellow co-residents DJ Heather, DJ Colette, Justin Long (No Assembly Firm) and Kaskade.
Besides the music, he has other endeavors like being a certified yoga teacher (World Evolution Yoga) and traveling the world (Traveling Love Show). Still, he has found time for his new record label (Bopsa) which features releases by Derrick Carter, Lawnchair Generals and Swirl People.
Simply put, he is one busy person. After more than a year, and before he moves to Japan, he has decided to spin one more time for the LA denizens, his brand of meaningful house music.
Supporting that night will be underground superstar G-DUBBS (Sacred Grounds), the eclectic APARTMENT DJs (Groovet3k, INCOGNITO) and the lovely GIANGSTAR (KNK).
This is a one time gig by the elusive Miles Maeda so don’t miss it! You’ll never know how long it will take before it happens again.
