From the opening bars of the juggernaut that is their debut self titled EP, it is clear that Melbourne based progressive rock outfit ‘Jericco’ possess a sound and wisdom that is both ancient and eclectic in its origins.
Comprising five seasoned and highly respected players, the act features Brent McCormick's distinctive vocal delivery of the band’s haunting lyrics, Roy Amar’s wandering bass lines and mystical Oud (Egyptian Lute), Luke Halstead’s Middle-Eastern inspired percussive grooves, Jordan Nagle’s wall-of-sound guitars and Fetah Sabawi’s sprinkling of programming and melodic keys. Sabawi joined the band on the back of his success with ARIA winning heavyweights ‘Superheist’.
Stylistically, ‘Jericco’ stands out from similar acts of its genre with great pride and power. The prominent Eastern influence throughout the band’s thundering live performances is sincere, and resonates at the core with their rapidly expanding fan base. The show is a moving display of musical and technical prowess, delivering songs with passion and substance that manage to penetrate the soul. An encounter with ‘Jericco’ is designed to test the individual to the point of self reflection, by traversing a musical landscape that is both treacherous and serene at once. Hey, you guys were totally rocking at Karnivool in Perth last week. Don't know if you noticed the big hairy guy at the front, but that was me, and i was totally digging what you guys were doing. If you're ever back this way and need a support act please let us know, we'd love to support you guys.
Had a blast in Adelaide the other night with my Jericco brothers and the Karnivool boys. All the best for tomorrow nights show in Perth, I know you will make an impression!

Had a blast at BANG. Didnt get to stick around for your set but from what I heard in the soundcheck you sounded preeeeeetty good. Anyway, thanks for sharing some stage-space with us. Would love to do it all again sometime.
Hey, just wanted to say that you guys FUCKING ROCKED at Open Arms on Saturday! I was fucking impressed, you had really clear sound and put on a great show. I swiftly walked to the merch tent and bought your EP. Great music! Can't wait to see you guys again. Anyone who's reading this, make sure you check these guys out, see them live if you can. Definitely worth it.

31st october, you played space night club. everyone was crushed that mammal broke up. i felt, when you started playing, you turned the sombre crowd back to a happy mood with your music and stage pressence. you rocked the house!!!!
