| General | Telecasters, pre-1980 American iron, obsolete electronic junk, American history, political drama, various ephemera, flotsam and jetsam of pop culture. You wouldn't believe some of the stupid crap I'm interested in. It'll either fascinate you, bore you to tears or make you think I'm some sort of lunatic. Either way, I'm OK with it.

About me:
I've been told I'm an "interesting guy".
Married 20 yrs to a great woman who's the love of my life.
I'm a goodish player and I usually am playing guitar with about 3 or 4 country bands around Central TX...that's after my time in a psychotic-sounding speedmetal band, a drunk-punk band and a revved-up roots-rock outfit. Hey, things change. At least I know a thing or two about a thing or two these days. I can also play about enough Western swing and jazz to land myself in trouble with it. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, my friends. The one thing I know for sure is that, at this stage in my life, I would rather be playing in the most rotten-smelling beer joint in TX than be at work at my day job. It'd be real nice to be playing enough to go down to working part-time...at least
I managed to overcome a boring, busted-down small-town upbringing to evolve into the bright, literate, educated form of redneck you see before you today. The few, the proud.
Please don't take me too seriously, because I don't. I just don't want to look behind me in 20 years and have to take stock of a bunch of regrets.

Who I'd like to meet:
Umm, people who don't bore the ever-lovin bejesus out of me? What th' hell kind of question is that, anyway?
People I don't want to meet: anybody who can give me another MRSA infection.
