CALIGULA is a band that has been together since late 2007. They came about through Jeremy (guitar) and Matt (vocals) just jamming really. Jeremy had some cool riffs and Matt being an excellent writer just coming together and starting to write some tunes. It took a long time for them to actually write some good stuff, but the first song ever written was Demons Demise. For a long time it would just be Matt and Jeremy sitting around jamming, until they stumbled across Ray Porter. He was a friend for a long time but never knew about his drumming skills. Finally they talked to Ray and he agreed to come to the house and get some practice in. That day in late 2007 they had become Pandemic. After one small show, they realized Pandemic was a band name already being used by more than one band. After a long time of trying to think of a badass band name, they stumbled upon what is CALIGULA. After a few months they had a really good start on some good material. After dedicating almost every waking moment to some form of music for the past year and a half CALIGULA is what you see and hear today. They recorded a demo at the one and only Dan Bess' house (Liquid Violence, and Ballcheese Psychotics). CALIGULA has grown a lot since those days back in late 07 and early 08 and continue to grow. They have been writing new material for the past few months now and believe the new material is better than ever. They have also introduced a new guitarist named Jake Porter. (Rays brother) Believing they can and will be an unstoppable force in the local metal scene, CALIGULA strives to be the best they can be. Through their ups and through their downs CALIGULA is far beyond driven and believe they will achieve greatness in the world of METAL.
