About The Jerome Grey Trio

The Jerome Grey Trio takes you back in time to the sounds of traditional Samoan music as it was first introduced, when the percussive rhythms of the fala and pate were pervasive in Samoan music. Each member of the father-and-sons group, with their unique musical experiences, brings something special to the album using the guitar, ‘ukulele and the sielo (stand-up bass) to enhance traditional songs in a contemporary fashion. This compilation is the Grey family’s gift to Samoa and to the world.
