Anything dealing with music -- of course my favorite thing is playing, either solo, or in a band. I've come to discover that my connection with music is a connection with God.
I am also a writer -- mainly screenplays although I do attempt poetry on occasion.
Music
Bossa Nova and Latin rhythms are my favorite although I like just about any style -- yes, even rap.
Movies
Vertigo is my favorite movie. A.I. is high on my list too. Recently, I really liked "The Invisible". Other favorites include: Schindler's List, It's A Wonderful Life, The Magnificent Ambersons, Citizen Kane, The Matrix trilogy, Laurence of Arabia, North by Northwest (in fact, anything "Hitch").
Television
Don't watch it if I don't have to. Fortunately, my kids don't watch it either. I wonder what the future of this medium is now that the internet and wireless technologies are here.
Books
The Bible, first and foremost. The Stand. The Gun Slinger series -- yes, I like Stephen King. Sailing to Freedom -- bet you never heard of that one! As a kid I really liked "The Bobsy Twins".
Heroes
Jesus. All of my earthly heros have let me down at some point -- go figure.
