I shall name a few. Grew up on the SE/HC stuff...NYC/SE for the most part. These days...36 Crazy-Fists, Bleeding Through, Madball, Hatebreed, Corrosion of Conformity, Life of Agony, Skinlab, Agnostic Front, The Cro-mags, Sepultura, Soulfly, Metallica, Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Queensryche, Shadow's Fall, Bullet for my Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, Atreyu, Tool, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Mudvayne, Danzig, The Misfits, Samhain, Disturbed, and many more, too. Music, with the exception of my kids, is my most powerful, motivational device.
Movies
300, Pixar flicks rock (Wall-E, Ratatouille, Monters Inc., Cars, and Finding Nemo were amazing to watch). I cant believe what hollywood can accomplish with computers on the big screen.
THE EXORCIST is the best horror movie ever made.
SWINGERS just might be my all time favorite comedy.
Vince Vaughn flicks make me laugh.
Great movies come in many forms. Bad Santa,
Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, Serendipity, Bram Stoker's Dracula, A Bronx Tale, Wedding Crashers, School of Rock, Tim Burton films, Vincent Price and Boris Karloff films...Just to name a few.
Television
My daughter rules the tv, so I'm knee deep in Pixar as of late.LOL When I do watch tv I like my espn. For sports, I like watching football or (brace yourselves)NASCAR! Yep, Im'ma bit of a redneck on sundays, I must admit.LOL But more than anything, I like to laugh. George Lopez, Conan O'Brien, The Office, and 2 And A Half Men are fun. Deal or No Deal is fun to watch, too. VH1's "The White Rapper Show" might be the funniest damn thing I've ever seen.
Books
The most recent..."Stalking The Flock" and "The Wolf In Wolf's Clothing" are great motivators. www.wickedjester.com is where you can get them both.
Heroes
Indirectly, all the people that sacrifice their lives to create a better world for others have my respect.
Directly....
My grand-mother and grand-father amazed me.
My Mom is what a Mom should be.
My Brother is what a good Dad should be.
My Dad, very misunderstood. I hope your well.
About me: I like to watch. It's true. Like the eagle perched high up in a tree, there I sit, watching for the most part, a fools parade. But what is a fool? Simply nothing more than a person tricked into something. In this case, in life's case, it's growing up in a society that spoon feeds you large amounts of bullshit. Sadly, the american appetite is voracious. And gluttons must eat.
The point I'm trying to make is that in this life (the one and only life I've been informed about), unlike the fool who gets caught up in the materialistic, want it all and want it now, MTV mentality, you have to seperate yourself from the herd. Set your goals. Create direction. And spend your life on that path. This is where true happiness and fulfillment lies. Nothing worth having comes easy, and the secret to one's success is, infact, not a secret at all. "Hard Work" has never been a secret. But the one thing it is...is HARD. And lets face it, most people are soft.
My agenda is(and has always been)simple.
Succeed at reaching my goals. Stay true to myself.
Create something that helps motivate and inspire others.
Set an example for my kids to simply never give up on themselves. Instill in them the strength to overcome life's many obstacles. To perservere. To follow their path and make every effort to reach their goals...no matter who tells them otherwise.
Who I'd like to meet: As a fan-boy, I'd have loved to have met the late greats...Boris Karloff, Bela Legosi, Lon Chaney Sr. and Jr., Vincent Price, and Bruce Lee. Warren Publications artists...Leopold Sanchez and Jose Ortiz would be great, too. Linda Blair would make for great conversation. As an artist, I'm intrigued by all walks of life. It's what molds me. What I see around me, like it or not, it's what makes me who I am. I do find other artists very interesting. We are often very secretive in our approach, but the approach others chose to take is what I like to see (and maybe even learn from). The Tattoo subculture has so many interesting people. Any tat shoppe has a 1001 stories to be told. It's a world of it's own, really. Art comes in so many forms, and there is so much to see out there.
Artists, to me, are like magician's for the simple fact that we are able to create something that simply was not there. Behind the gates(our minds), is our own private world. Reminds me of the scene in "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory" where everyone is dying to get in. Looking through the gate, you can see the factory. Suddenly, all these thoughts come to mind, a magnificent sense of wonder over takes you.
Artists have the unique ability to get lost in their own world, and thats the beauty of it all. When you can create a world within a world. An escape from the fucked up place most of us live in. When you can create that special place that allows you to build an environement that seperates itself from the outside world, but on occasion allows itself to intermingle, thats when your able to excel as an artist.
And since this section is titled "I'd like to meet"...let I not forget...
I cant wait to meet the boys that try to date my daughters.

For sure. I'm very happy with it as it is right now so I can't wait to see what it will look like finished. I'm going have someone else take some photo's of it when it's done. They have a better camera and would get better shots than me doing a one hander. lol
