It started with a vision back in 1977...
...and grew to become a forerunner band in Contemporary Christian Music. The soon familiar sound of Jerry Williams and Harvest, known for
such classic songs as Because I Am, The Battle Is The Lord's, Not By Might, and Give
Them Back, captured the hearts and minds of a generation as they ministered to broken hearts and spirits everywhere.
Times change.......people change.
Now founder of EPIC (Exiles Pardoned In Christ) Ministries, Inc.,
Jerry Williams, along with his wife Donna, are today fully committed to building up and ministering to the leadership of the body of Christ
through several avenues of ministry.
The main avenue is through a Practical Ministry of Helps, of which Jonathan Ministry is the center. It is through this ministry all other areas of EPIC Ministries will be fulfilled. Somewhere
between 1200 and 1600 ministers and other leaders leave the ministry each month. In January 2001, the Lord spoke to Jerry and Donna to begin
ministering to these leaders as a "gift of relationship" to them, and in June of that year Jerry and Donna sold their home in Texas and moved
onto a motorhome which they use to travel the country ministering to the leaders of the Body of Christ. They go with no agenda other than to
be a gift of friendship, support and help to those leaders who invite and receive them.
Another avenue is Evangelism. One area is with motorcycle ministries to reach out to the lost in the motorcycle community.
Yet another is through Discipleship, in which Jerry's music plays a vital role. Jerry and Donna work with churches all across the country
to help train the Army of the Lord. The Word says "you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free". All of Jerry's CD's as well as
his Warriors Arise Discipleship Manuel can be found at EPIC
Ministries.
And finally, through Home and World Missions. Jerry and Donna are being sent as missionaries to America. Their vision is to assist leaders
in the body of Christ both here and abroad to see the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ shared with every person. Not only do they participate
in missions personally but EPIC also supports other ministries involved in both home and world missions.
So although the ministry and the methods may have changed, the man and the music are still the same. Jerry has remained faithful to the
vision he started so many years ago. His songs continue to minister to broken hearts and lives today as he boldly and unashamedly lifts up the
name of Jesus Christ in word and song.
With his CD's Warriors Arise, Flood Over Me, The Angels' Anthem, and now his latest,
Gideon: A Mighty Warrior, comes a fresh anointing and power that Jerry's music has come to be known for. Never one to settle
for mediocrity, his love for the body of Christ and his desire to serve and know Jesus deeper continues to be the heart, soul, and reason
behind every song.
So for those of you who have missed Jerry's music and for those who have never had an opportunity to hear it, sit back and enjoy...
You will be richly blessed.
