I'm heavily involved with Cheyenne's community theatre, CHEYENNE LITTLE THEATRE PLAYERS. I've been involved for over a decade now. Within this time, I've met many great people, and made some truly awesome friends.
I've also gotten the opportunity to direct several plays in this time, including: BEAUTY & THE BEAST (twice), CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, REALLY ROSIE, THE HOBBIT, A CHRISTMAS STORY and most recently Roald Dahl's THE WITCHES. I have also had the opportunity to be the assistant director for the college's production of ROCKY HORROR SHOW...this was great fun! Not only did I get to a.d., but I also got to introduce the show, break in the virgins, and do naughty things with a banana...use your imagination.
Being a horror/haunt freak, I've also had the opportunity to create and direct Cheyenne's premiere haunted house from 1991-1998, within the confines of a truly haunted old theatre! But, sadly...the legendary HAUNTED ATLAS was laid to rest in 1998.
But, in October 2005 I introduced something totally new to Cheyenne...an old fashioned SpookShow...this event was successful, and I had hoped that it would become Cheyenne's most popular annual Halloween extravaganza...but unfortunately it must not have been considered a big enough success to the board. But fuck it...Halloween rules! Yes...HALLOWEEN is Nekro's xmas.
Besides theatre...I am also a "movie geek", especially horror flicks. I've got quite a large...dvd collection (what did you think I was gonna say?! Dirty minds think alike!) A couple of years ago, my friends and I created a small "production" team, THE HASHMARK FILM GROUP...where each of us got to take turns making our own films...we started out with some short films.
My first short-film is entitled ABDUCTION...and I'm quite proud of it, for a first ever attempt, it turned out quite well. Since then Hashmark has disbanded.
As part of the film-making trio, RFG (Reveur Film Group) with two of my close friends: Shawn Crochet and Jeff Miller, we have shot, produced, cut and finished our first ever full length film: WICKED SEASON, all about the hauntings of one of Cheyenne's most infamous places, The Historic Atlas Theatre. We premiered the film locally to great attendance and feedback, and we submitted it to Sundance...but it didn't get picked to be part of the festival...we are still totally fucking proud of it though! And the movie is VERY close to my heart because of my experience with the Atlas and it's hauntings. Oh...the storied I could tell you about that place!
RFG has several other projects in the works...so stay tuned.

I just finished directing my first show at LCCC, Charles Busch's PSYCHO BEACH PARTY! I've been wanting to do this for over 5 years, and it finally happened! And let me tell you, I had the greatest time, and I'm so proud of this show, can't wait to do another out there. Dave and I may be co-directing REEFER MADNESS THE MUSICAL next summer!
Also just finished doing the first reader's theatre of the season for CLTP, which was short and fun, and turned out amazing as well.
