Currently performing with members of EFTHEM making it a full live band experience.... finally!
Influences
Matchbox Twenty, Matthew Good, Eminem, Damien Rice, Dallas Green: showed me how to make music my outlet
Judy Garland, Dolly Parton, Janis Joplin, Reba: what I aim to be as a performer
the Beatles, David Bowie, Madonna, Trent Reznor, Sarah McLachlan, Ray Lamontagne, John Mayer, Thom Yorke, JORY BERGER: taught me how to think outside the box lyrically, musically and just life as a musician
and that's all I got for now...
Sounds Like
a girl with a lot of energy and misplaced emotions. or just as my recordings sound. you be the judge.
"Despite her small exterior, Jessica Fodor has, and is nothing but, a big voice. Her prevailing musical presence has allowed her to take the stage of many musicals and venues across the city. Equipped with a set of pipes and a heavy guitar strum; she also possesses the gift of song writing. She began writing at age 13; discovering her inner songwriter allowed her to use her dominant vocal presence to convict the raw emotions expressed in her music. Her artistic ability drew her to play at local open mics and jams throughout the GTA, surprising many with her powerful vocals and mature song writing skills at such an early age. She has collaborated with other local artists in genres of Folk, Electronic, Reggae, and Pop, becoming a more versatile musician and songwriter. She continues to hone her skills as a performer, playing venues across the city; also working on her first EP with producer Vikas Kohli owner of Fatlabs studio." --> what I use for a bio to hand out, it was the best I could do.
What I'd like to add to that would be I've been in a lot of choirs... and I'm a choir geek.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and have a lovely day!

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Its been a while since we talked. Anyways, we will be organizing a show sometime in Decemeber (between the 22nd and 27th of December) and I was wondering if you wanted to do a half-hour set.
We will be playing along with another two bands; so let me know if you would be interested.
Hi there Jess Fodor first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
