| General | There's a lot more to do in NC than there was in IL. The mountains are amazingly gorgeous, so I love going to them. I adore Dave's nephew and nieces. I'm not really in love with traveling for 2 days at a time between NC and IL all the GD time, but that's what I gotta do, so...
I like writing, love reading, love listening to music that people around me are like, 'wtf?' about.

I recognize Tom Petty as a form of some God or another because, damn it, he is. Other favs of mine are Dave Mattews Band, Sigur Ros, Alexisonfire, Jill Scott, The Black Maria, Foo Fighters, They Might Be Giants, Texas, The Monotypes, Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Moby(yeah, I like him -what of it?), Goddamn Electric Bill, Cake, Arcade Fire, Against Me!, The Real Tuesday Weld, Jimmy Eat World, Pharell, Breaking Benjamin, Interpol, Chiodos, and Silverstein. | | Movies | I like any movie so long as they are not lame, sappy love stories that make everyone else cry and hold their loved ones close to them...*sniff*...I can't stand those kinds of movies.
Some favorites are...Session 9, Shopgirl, everything with William Petersen in it, Employee of the Month (the one with Steve Zahn), Weird Science, Boondock Saints, any Kevin Smith movie, Office Space, Layer Cake, Memoirs of a Geisha(screw off, it was good), Canadian Bacon, and a lot more that I won't bore you with. | | Television | CSI, CSI: New York, NCIS, Criminal Minds, House M.D., ER, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Family Guy, Reno 911, American Dad, Futurama, The Price is Right, Who's Line, The Red Green Show, History's Mysteries, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Iron Chef America, SWAT, Unsolved Mysteries, COPS, and I like to watch the DiscoveryHealth channel...holy crap, I watch too much t.v. | | Books | I'll read pretty much anything you put in front of me...except for that horrid romance novel crap (Cuz I really don't want to read about 'turgid shafts').

Nancy, who is steadily learning not to be a doormat for people. After being set in your ways for so long, it's hard to change, and I know that, but she is doing great.

Name's Jessie, but I go by Jess a lot of times.
I have the most kick-ass best friend and boyfriend. They have never let me down, and are the greatest people I'll ever know.
If you don't like me... well, you're probably a douche.
I never stop talking. Ever. Even in my sleep, I'll carry on both sides of conversations about completely random topics. (Like the dream a few months ago about Rock, Paper, Scissor World Championships in Canada where I was a guest judge for no reason. Owned it, too.)
Animal Crackers are my crack. They are the greatest thing in solid form on Earth.
Talking to strangers is GREAT!
I like the little, random things in life. Unappreciated things like jaywalking, foam sword fights in gas stations w/ the best friend, talking to little old ladies in line behind me at the store (because why is she buying 74 cans of cat food and only 1 thing of cheese spread?), and skipping through the aisles at Wal-Mart while the management eyes you angrily... those things make my day.
I abhor the -word- 'stupidest,' and I fear for those that use it daily.
I feel bad when I step on ants.

Who I'd like to meet:
People that I could hold a civilized, decently intelligent conversation with. Anyone that can blow something up/ set something on fire with their mind.
I've always wanted to meet Tom Petty. Then I've got the classic Super-Fan thing going for James Woods, Peter Stormare, Holly Hunter, and Stanley Tucci. I'd also love to meet Tony Blair.
And then there's a few really cool people I've met through writing that I'll probably never get to meet, but I'd jump at any opportunity to. Jord, Rosie, Kim, Alex...cool ass folks. I already met Trudy, and that was fun as hell.
