About Jessica Braun
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Jessica now calls New York City her home. She graduated from Columbia University where she studied English Literature as well as vocal performance with former Metropolitan opera star, Spiro Malas. Since graduation, she’s been performing in various New York City spots, including the former Lion’s Den (now Sullivan Hall), the historic Naumberg Band Shell in Central Park, Kenny’s Castaways, and Piano’s. Jess enjoys singing everything from house to rock, pop to blues.
Recently Jess has been collaborating on, recording, and performing a series of original rock and pop songs for her band, Dead Copycats. This past fall the band completed their debut album, which is now available on most music downloading sites. From time to time, she also sings with the cover band, Nothing in Common. For the past few years, Jess has been recording vocals for clients on a freelance basis.
