One major influence I have is my dad. He is a phenomenol musician and has a taught me a lot. I am also very inspired by Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Bjork, Vanessa Carlton, Liz Phair, Sarah McLachlan, Kelly Clarkson, The Corrs, Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Jewel, The Fray, Amy Lee, Regina Spektor, A Fine Frenzy, Nelly Furtado, John Mayer, Christina Aguilera and Coldplay.

I've been told I kind of sound like Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant, or Vanessa Carlton.. For me to even be compared slightly to them is the hugest compliment in the world because they are amazing. My music is pop but its not bubblegum pop. I'm not trying to be anyone or sound like anything, I just write.. most of my inspiration is from real life, but some is also from dreams I have or just somewhere my imagination takes me..

Jessica Durre was born and raised in Talkeetna, Alaska but currently resides in Daytona Beach, Florida. She is a 25 year old singer/songwriter. Her melodies are unforgettable and her words are honest and true, from the heart. Her music is untouched, and raw, however, not fitting into any specific category. She has been singing since she could speak, and she composed her first song on the piano when she was only four years old. Actively involved in her school choir since she was twelve, she won several musicianship awards, and was also named Lead Soprano at the Regions III Music Festival during her senior year. Her songwriting ability won the ears of Grammy-award winning producer Scott Mathews of Hit or Myth Productions, and they recorded two tracks together in California. She has been a finalist in the Alaska Song of the Year contest three years in row, and has also been given a four star rating on one of her songs by Loggins Promotion. Jessica released her debut album "On The Brink" in November of 2006. She is now working on her new album and it is set to be released in January.
