Experiencing "Driven Back" is like going out away from the brightness of the city's night lights to the un-obstructed brilliance of a billion stars blanketing a desert sky. You have no trouble sensing the realness in every aspect of this unique project.
After listening to the album and having knowledge of how it came to be, I immediately recalled a similar production which to this day is one of my all-time favorites; John Fogerty's "Centerfield." Although reasons and background surrounding the two recordings differ somewhat, the mechanics, from original songs to recording techniques to instruments are nearly identical. "Centerfield" became a flagship project for Fogerty and "Driven Back" may well do the same for Jesse and Noah. Read more at Neon Universe. -

Amid the years of writing and recording on different labels, different bands and "doing the music row thing"; Jesse and Noah have forged their sound and a very strong identity. They are set to introduce their first independent release and their third album as a duo, Driven Back.
Driven Back is an ecelectic mis of Americana, Roots-Rock, Country and Power pop led by the powerful vocals of Jesse Bellamy. The songs are heartfelt and powerful. Well delivered and colorful.
