The band Jesse Bolt from North Carolina was originally formed in 1974. They were going to call the band BOLT, but at that time two word names were popular, such as Alice Cooper, Led Zepplin, DeepPurple, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc. Therefore they searched for a tough sounding name and liked the sound of Jesse, similar to Jesse James who in the American west was known as a gunslinger. So they put the two together and came up with Jesse Bolt.
From 1975 till 1981 they performed live shows, mostly in the eastern United States. They took a step out of the seen for six years and reunited again in 1987.
In 2000 they decided to record a CD with eleven of their original songs. During this period there were few bands who released albums with the style of 70'S and 80's hard rock and Jesse Bolt saw a huge potential to bring the style back again.
Jesse Bolt has played countless live shows opening for such bands as U2, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Molly Hatchet. The main music on their album "The Revelation" was recorded in 3 hours and on the 2nd take. So we are hearing pretty much of what the band sounds like live, according to their guitar player Keith Stacy.
Five of the original members of the band are presented on the CD.

In August 2002 the band was joined by vocalist Greg Woodcock.
Also with their musical talents sky rocketing, they formed their own production company "Enlightening Entertainment".
The band would like to say Thank You to all of you worldwide for your undying support, we have big, big, plans for 2008. We have an awesome new singer world class most of you are probably familiar with, our plans are to re-lease the revelation; with his vocals, replace four of the songs with four new ones mainly because we have gotten news that the cd is being pirated in europe, asia, and russia, but this time we are going to sign with a major label.
