BIOGRAPHY
"Bloodshed In Our Streets" is the song that continues to open doors for Jesse. After placing Top 5 in the 2007 Mix 99.9 RadioStar Song Contest, the tune went on to win the Rhythm of the Future Talent Contest earning Jesse the opportunity to work with Toronto rapper/producer Saukrates and Toronto's one man band Colin Munroe. In Sept '07 the team completed a song entitled "We Wanna Be Free" which will be placed on Jesse's upcoming EP. The song will be on myspace by the end of Oct '07.
In this past summer of '07, "Bloodshed In Our Streets" was also used in conjuction with a Crimestoppers You Tube video plea for witnesses in relation to a Toronto homicide. After the video was posted, Toronto Police Homicide squad received numerous tips and an arrest was made. The video was removed after receiving over 7,000 hits.
Raised in Ireland, originally hailing from the east end of Toronto, at age 26 Jesse David has visited 22 countries and lived in two. His voyageur background has given him a unique world view that has shaped a creative and thought provoking repertoire of songs.
Jesse recorded his first single “Trini Girl” with the assistance and direction of award winning songwriter Rich Dodson of The Stampeder’s. The single went on to receive significant AM/FM radio airplay in the GTA putting Jesse David on the map of up and coming artists. Jesse also performed at the Carabana launch at Nathan Phillips Square and again at the Carabana Parade 2006.
To expand his team, Jesse joined forces with Juno nominated producer Doug Romanow of Fire Escape Recordings in Toronto. The two collaborated for a collection of hard hitting tunes which are actively being shopped for various licensing/publishing deals through Ice Box Music Services. Romanow and David also hooked up for a number of shows at UAC in Markham, playing for monthly crowds of 300.

Hi Jesse and thank you for the invite! I've seen you around on Sellaband. It's quite sad that what you see on the street is so violent. It's hard for me to understand that reality, yet I know it exists. As to my travels, you've travelled a lot yourself! Good luck with producing your new CD!
In peace and light
