| General | I'm working to make photography an honest to goodness hobby of mine. I think I have an eye for it, I just need to practice. Alot.
| | Music | I've recently discovered jazz music and have been going to hear some excellent live music lately. But I'm not picky really. From classical to techno, I like it all - except country. I draw the line at country (although I adore bluegrass). | | Movies | The usual list of chic flicks, comedies and classics. I love any movies where the actors have foreign accents - particularly british. Anything by Merchant Ivory - but then, I've already said chic flicks.... I can't watch horror movies because I have an overactive imagination. I won't sleep for days. | | Television | Finally got cable and now I'm never home to watch it. After 6 weeks in the new apartment, I've watched TV ONCE. Now I'm thinking of cancelling it and putting the TV in storage to make more room in my living room... | | Books | Oh, the list is long, long, long. Anything by Jane Austen, Edith Wharton, either Bronte, Gaston Leroux, George Orwell, Isak Denisen, Fatimah Mernissi, Louisa May Alcott, L.M. Montgomery, Alduous Huxley, Ray Bradberry, Bill Bryson, Jon Katz. Not too big on the modern stuff, which I think makes me a book snob. | | Heroes | Heroes is an odd word...Role Models? Mentors maybe? A short list of people I idolize in some form or fashion: Samantha Power, Bill Bryson, Martin Luther, Winston Churchill, Ansel Adams. |
