Bio
Jesse Sarr grew up in Northern California, playing guitar and piano, and writing music from a young age. Always the performer, people recognized his gift for entertaining and big dreams sent him to Southern California after high school. He landed in Venice Beach writing songs in a shoebox studio apartment and playing every coffee-shop and dive bar in town. Hard work got him gigs in some of Hollywood clubs he dreamed of playing as a kid. Making the transition from acoustic pop to electronic dance, Jesse teamed up with a European producer and released the EP titled "Automatons" . "I love to dance and I wanted to make a dance record, while still challenging myself as a song writer. These are my thoughts and experiences set to harder beats and synthesizers, it's sweet to find that balance. The cool thing for me is playing these dance songs on my guitar. I don't like to be put in a box, rules are meant to be broken. If I want to mix my country twang with a synthesizer, I do it." Having been raised on the coast, Jesse threads an authentic, laid-back, poetic vibe to his music. "I'm really one of those people who likes to dabble in everything. I'm inspired by all kinds of music and I like to surround myself with many different types of people." His music suggests a broad spectrum of influences, while creating a sound that is uniquely his own. -

Influences
the ocean, the trees, traffic, hiking, a versatile jukebox, a friday night when nobody wants to do anything that you wanna do and you don't wanna do anything they wanna do so you do this, magic, plants, that one homeless guy, the universe. -
Sounds Like
the stuff you are listening to right now. (unless the stuff you are listening to right now isn't the stuff playing on this page. but even then it might, strangely enough, sound similar. i guess that depends on what else you're listening to)
