Borrowing inspiration from pop, folk, soul, gospel and reggae Jesse Mitchell’s style is delicate and comfy. Whether performing solo, with the band or accompanied by the cello, flute or djembé, it's always a memorable and heart-warming show.
Jesse Mitchell released his debut EP 'The Twilight' in June 2006. After venturing through Latin America, he returned to Melbourne in 2007 singing tender tales of love, longing, pristine shores, and foreign cultures. He performed at some of Melbourne's finest venues, Manchester Lane, Spencers Live, Brunswick Hotel, The Evelyn Hotel, The Hard Rock Café, The Edinburgh Castle amongst others and regional shows at The Barwon Club (Geelong) and Ruby's Lounge (Belgrave). He performed alongside Nick Barker, Bomba, and The Benson Campaign.
In 2008, Jesse featured on the FreezaCentral compilation Album “Laces and Lyrics” and appeared as a guest artist on SYN’s 1700 TV show.
Before embarking on a 2009 tour of the UK, Jesse saw the release of his debut single “Fingertips” launched to a packed-out Manchester Lane with support acts and friends Kim Beales and Faye Blais contributing to the success of the show.
