About me:

jwendel.com My life, as it is, revolves around the theory of work hard, play harder. By play I mean traveling the world (though there is much more to be seen), writing novels in bursts of inspired passion and then letting them languish unread, snowboarding/hiking/camping/jumping off of bridges and the occasional cliff, traveling to (and staying home for) Duck football games, pub crawling with any number of incredible people and then struggling to patch together a lucid picture of the goings-on, seeing my family as much as I can, and doing the odd Sudoku puzzle. When I'm not doing any of that, you can usually find me delivering boxes for UPS, which, in response to your question, is exactly what I went to college not to do. My dream day is a hazy and then blue early summer day in Eugene, where I sleep in, start a pot of coffee, run along the trails of Alton Baker Park for a while and then type away furiously until I feel like a nap. And yes, I feel like a nap...

    You and Rob should consider stopping by the Cooler on Sat the 31st, for Janell's going away get together. Party starts at 6, I turn into a pumpkin around 9 (kids, babysitter and all) but I'm sure she would love if you guys made a cameo appearance, oh and bring a pen if you come, there's a little matter of an unreceived autograph, that needs to be rectified.

    Hey big bro, they have these crazy things called "towers of beer" here in Korea which is quite literally a towering giant tube of beer with its own spiot and holds like 2 gallons of beer and is wonderful fun. You get to feel like a bartender and drink all the yummy Hite. For some reason it made me think of you.
