Jessica Kaye is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Montreal. Her first demo "Full Conviction" was independently released in 2009, quickly followed by her acoustic EP "Basement Sounds". Self-produced, and both emotionally and politically charged, her song ideas come from many different places (whether its in a dream, riding on the bus and scribbling on a napkin, or at home in her basement jamming on the sofa at 3AM and keeping the neighbors awake.) While personal experiences have always helped to shape heartfelt lyrics and themes; listening to a wide range of artists from Brand New to KT Tunstall to Rage Against the Machine, acts as a diverse set of influences that empower her creative process. Often noted for her covers on youtube, she also gigs at local bars around Montreal and has also done a few shows in San Francisco.
