Since childhood, Jessica has been involved in art, having taken dance, piano, singing, acting, theatrical studies, along with other television and musical studies. Jessica first began taking Jazz dance lessons, which initiated her passion for music at age 5. She then moved onto piano lessons at 6 and eventually took voice at age 14; although she had been singing on her own since childhood.

Having participated in all school plays and talent shows, Jessica's passion for music expanded into the arts in general, where at the age of 14, she was taking numerous dramatic arts courses, which she was a natural on stage. Jessica has studied singing with Ian Garratt (who taught Shania Twain & N'Sync) along with other professional singing instructors. She has also studied Hip Hop, Jazz and Latin dancing. Jessica was a teacher at the Ontario Conservatory of music teaching piano and voice and was a teacher at Danceline Studios teaching dance.

In December of 2000, Jessica released her first promotional CD, which has received excellent airing time with the Portuguese radio stations in Canada, The USA, and in Portugal. In November 2001, she released her first complete CD in Portuguese, which has been playing in radio stations across the world in Canada, the USA, Portugal, Cuba, France, Bermuda, Brazil, India and Australia, just to name a few. In California, USA, Jessica Amaro has held a ..1 spot on the Portuguese music charts with numerous songs for over a year. In April 2004, her album entitled "Sempre No Cora..ão", in memory of her dear grandmother, was released and included hits in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

In 2006 Jessica Amaro released her long awaited album “ATTITUDE” which daybued her English music. “ATTITUDE” did so well that it won Jessica the Los Angeles Music Award for best Pop album of the year. The album features the collaboration of artists that work with Sony BMG, Canadian Idol, and Juno Award winning producers. All lyrics and music are original and are composed and authored by Jessica herself. Jessica Amaro sings in English, Portuguese and Spanish, knowing how to speak them fluently. Jessica has performed around the world including Europe, Cuba, Bermuda, Mexico, USA and all over Canada. She has also performed in Paramount Canada's Wonderland more than once. Having performed for hundreds of thousands of people, her audience most recognizes her for her energetic presence on stage, and her communication with her fans.

Jessica Amaro is not only a singer and dancer, but she also composes some of her music and most of her lyrics. With her passion for the art of singing, her determination and willingness to grow with today's contemporary market, Jessica Amaro intends on entering and conquering the English market by following her heart and love for music.
