At the age of nineteen, while performing in Los Angeles, native New Yorker Jessica Caterina was discovered by producer and engineer George Landress (No Doubt, Laura Nyro). Landress recorded a five-song demo with Jessica and musician Farid Nassif, who then formed Odilemma. They were soon performing regularly in Los Angeles, and their demo track Star Motel" received airplay on popular radio station Star 98.7.
Since leaving Odilemma, Jessica has worked with legendary music manager and promoter Sid Bernstein (The Beatles), recording artist and producer Russell Howard (Jay-Z, Mya), songwriter/guitarist Mark Goldenberg (Jackson Browne, Natalie Imbruglia), and has been a featured artist on LA radio station KLRA's "Women in Music" series.
Jessica collaborated with George Landress on a five-song EP, "Only When," blending her own insightful and poetic lyrics with his sophisticated musical compositions. The album is available on her website (jessicacaterina.com) and on CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com). Jessica also regularly collaborates with LA-based music producer/songwriter Adam Malka on a unique blend of hip-hop, folk and electronica. They often record together under the project name, Jkat (myspace.com/jkatmusic).
In addition to her musical endeavors, Jessica is currently pursuing a law degree.
