"The Square" music and score (written by Francois Tetaz and Ben Lee) has been nominated for an AFI award for Best Original Music Score for 2008.

The ARIA nominations are out for 2008 and Ben Lee and Jessica Chapnik have been nominated for Best Original Soundtrack for "The Square".
Jessica Chapnik sometimes acts, and sometimes makes music.
Her latest musical project is a collaboration with singer/songwriter, BEN LEE. "The Square" Soundtrack is a collection of songs from and inspired by the Australian film THE SQUARE, directed by NASH EDGERTON. The film was released in Sydney in July 2008. Ben Lee wrote all the songs, teaming up with NIC JOHNS to produce the record. Ben was looking for a female voice that could narrate this Aussie thriller, a voice that could say murder, mystery and all things gone terrribly wrong...that's when Jessica stepped in...The first single off the record is "SAND", which Ben co-wrote with Australian singer ANGIE HART.
In 2005, Jessica spent the year touring internationally with singer SARAH BLASKO, playing keyboard in her band. For a few years after that, she was a back-up singer and tambourine girl in the band OLD MAN RIVER, touring Australia with a bunch of boys. Recently, Jessica and Sarah Blasko teamed with the KAHN BROTHERS, and sang on their record "Love Melts Fear". She most recently toured Australia playing in BEN LEE's band.
Jessica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and migrated to Australia at a young age. Most of her family is still in Argentina, and the country is very close to her heart.
