Reading. Writing. Knitting. Movies. Music. More reading. Travel. Scandinavia.
Music
The Killers, Boingo, Depeche Mode, Bare Naked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan (I find her soothing), Evanescence.
Movies
Stardust, anything directed by Kenneth Branagh, The Lord of the Rings, Casino Royale, The Matrix (but not the sequels, ugh), Star Wars, X-Men, The Illusionist, The Prestige, Pixar, I Capture the Castle, Run Lola Run, The Bourne Identity, Dune (all the many versions), Indiana Jones, A Knight's Tale, Moulin Rouge, Age of Innocence, The Court Jester.
Television
The Office, Simpsons, Lost, Prison Break, and the king of tv: Battlestar Galactica.
Books
Good golly where to begin? Tad Williams, Guy Gavriel Kay, Neil Gaiman, I Capture the Castle, The Power of One, Tam Lin by Pamela Dean, Charles de Lint's Newford books, Diana Wynne Jones, Harry Potter, Naomi Novik, Margaret Atwood, How I Live Now, Sarah Vowell and David Sedaris, Irving Stone, Catch-22, Graham Joyce, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Shannon Hale, Jane Yolen, Madeleine L'Engle, Little Women, E.M. Forster, Thomas Hardy, Edith Wharton . . . oh, how I love the Age of Innocence and The Buccaneers! Katherine Kurtz's Deryni novels are great, too, and I am a raving Dune fan. Not a big fan of the prequels, but the real Frank Herbert Dune. Just love it.
Heroes
Neil Gaiman, he's like the rock star of the writing world. I mostly admire people who are doing what they love to do, and doing it well. That's who heroes are: they're people who say, this is what I want, and this is what I'm going to do!

Who I'd like to meet: People who like to read. And/or knit. Anyone who thinks Stardust was the best movie the year. You disagree? Let's discuss.
Ah, flooded bathrooms on New Year's Eve. Nice. My memory of you: When Kyle and I started dating and he took me to meet you and Mikey (and the Kellers) for the first time... we went to a grocery store to get ice cream or something and you all started speaking German. I thought "What the hell have I gotten myself into?" The German Rosetta Stone is still on my Amazon wishlist.
Hi Jessica! So cool to get to know you a little, and hope we can stay in touch! And you KNIT too. I'm sure you're much better than me. I'm a new knitter and I can't do much! I find myself wanting to knit especially when the writing gets hard. Ha ha!
