Collecting lost shopping lists kinda like this one. Eventually i'll have enough to cover a coffee table.

Television
Weeds= PURE GOLD. My favorite TV show to date.
And the rest of it? A pretty big handful of it is crap but if you look between the cracks you can find some okay stuff... Sopranos (on A&E now), Football/basketball games depending on who's playing, Intervention, Family Guy, Kitchen Nightmares, The History channel and Food Network. Jimmy Kimmel and Conan, Scrubs, that 70's show, and MythBusters. Oh and the Olympics were great this year, too.
But my loyalty goes to Tim and Eric, the most obscure 15-minutes on television. It only makes a certain type of person laugh, I'm one of them.
This is a little video I found (randomly) on YouTube from their live show in San Francisco. Look close, I'm in the white Tshirt on the right.
Books
Firstly, have to say that I love old books because of the way they smell. And I seem to enjoy a book more when it's a paperback for some reason..
I've read a lot of great things but i'll stick to the most recent...
I just finished Touching From a Distance by Deborah Curtis. It was simple book that follows the tragic last few years of Ian Curtis' life up to his suicide through the eyes of his wife. I'm a big fan of Ian Curtis so I loved everything about the book. Especially because it replaced the heroic image i had in my head of him with what he really was- an epileptic who was very selfish, abusive, and depressed (but still brilliant). My favorite thing about it are the rare photos of family and childhood and unfinished/never before seen lyrics scanned in straight from his journal.
And here are the books that were able to take me to another world that I never wanted to leave..
The Bible should be on this list because not only is it amazing in every way, but it's the only book in the world good enough to have a direct affiliation with motel bed-ends. And of course..my top 5- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Pure, Scum Manifesto, and Jitterbug Perfume.
Heroes
The Big Man, Lenny Bruce, Adam Corrolla (listen to his morning show and you'll understand.) Demetri Martin's brain, if brains could be heroes..
this guy,
and...
Hunter S. Thompson, Orson Wells, barker's beauties, you.
