I get to play with these talented musicians in many different configurations:
Adam Broome, Alfred Lund, Andy Davis, Bruce Rosen, Ethan Hazzard-Watkins,
Greg Boardman, Jaige Trudel, Jim DiCarlo, John Cote, Larry Siegel, Mary Cay Brass, Owen Marshall, Roger Kahle...
Etkilendikleri
Including those above, these folks' music continues to influence my playing and love for folk music: Genticorum, Le Vent du Nord, Vishten, Nightingale, Crowfoot, Maine Fiddle Camp, Michael McGoldrick, Yann Falquet, Darol Anger, Nicholas Williams, Laura Risk, Eric Favreau, Corey DiMario, Lissa Schneckenburger, Guy Bouchard, Matt Brown, Anna Patton, Henneke Cassel, Martin Hayes...and this is only a start.
I primarily fiddle for contra dances across New England with various musicians, and sometimes I sneak the cello into a dance set or two. I absolutely love playing for dancers! I also have performed in a few small-scale concerts and hope to explore this avenue a bit more. I teach at Maine Fiddle Camp and Sandy Island Suzuki Camp in addition to teaching privately in the Brattleboro, VT/Keene, NH area. I continue to stay connected to my important musical roots by playing in chamber music groups. And I always look for ways in which I can bring music to my elementary school classroom.
i did have fun! it was one of the coolest things i've ever participated in. were you dancing, working, or both?
greenfield and lennox are both kinda far, but my neighbor and i both LOVE those dances, so we may try make try to make it them more frequently than we do now, which is, like, three times a year... i'll let you know if we plan on coming to one.
it was nice to see you (if only for five seconds) at the DD! perhaps one of these days i will make it to a dance you yourself are playing. i would very much like that.
