Celebrated Irish Singer-Songwriter Jessie Kennedy releases debut CD "Field of The Wicked" The CD is produced by Paul Tiernan (Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist) and was recorded in his studio in the South of France and in the Interference studio in West Cork. Jessie Kennedy is a well-known and much-respected singer songwriter. Trained as a young musician in classical violin and given her first guitar by songwriter Jimmy McCarthy, she is now an established performer. She has performed on stage or recorded with many leading musicians including Donovan, Interference (as heard in Oscar-winning film One), Maurice Seezer (In the Name of the Father, Moulin Rouge), Maria Doyle Kennedy, Dave Clarke (Hot House Flowers) and many more..Jessie has gigged extensively in Ireland, and Her CD was previewed with a successful tour in Switzerland, where she headlined with Interference. Her song Too True was featured on Magic Nights at the Lobby Bar, a compilation CD featuring other Irish artists such as Mick Flannery and John Spillane. She has recently been the West Cork music correspondent for the Guardian newspaper. Jessie Kennedy's vocal style has been compared to Maria McKee and the Webb Sisters, whilst her influences include (amongst others) Prince, Depeche Mode, Joni Mitchell and Tom Waits as well as "the many artists I have performed with." Some tracks from the album have recently been heard on Philip King's RTE radio show 'The South Wind Blows', and also on John Creedon, Alf McCarthy and Lillian Smith, all RTE radio shows.
