About me:
Who am I? I’m Jessie! Once upon a time I was a professional Costume Designer. It was cool; I met a lot of famous people and got to see my costumes on TV and on Broadway. But what I really wanted was to meet a great man, get married, and raise a family. I realized this would never happen working 14+ hours a day, so I got a job running the costume shop for Adelphi University in Long Island, NY. I did this for 4 years and did end up meeting a great man and falling in love. But, alas, he lived in Jersey. So I left my career behind and moved to Jersey. I am now married to that man, AKA Doug. We are members of the SCA, which is basically a group of medieval recreationists. Doug is a Knight; he puts on armor and beats people with rattan swords. I make garb (costumes) and do numerous other period arts. Every summer in August we go camping in Pennsylvania with about 13,000 other people in the SCA, it’s fun. We are the proud parents of twins Kyla Dorothy and Vada Rose. When I found out I was having twins I realized I needed to find a legit work at home business as I didn’t want to send them to daycare. Luckily I did and I now have a wonderful home business partnering with an amazing company. It allows me to stay home and still make money, all the while helping people and feeling good about what I do. If you want to know more about that, just message me. I also paint very unique portraits. You can find photos of them in my photos section. If you want one of your own I do take commissions which I can paint from a photo provided by you; again, just message me. If you just want to say hi or tell me how cute my twins are, well, just message me! I try to check in here at least a few times a week, but I don’t live on this site, so don’t be offended if I don’t get back to you quickly.
