Jessi Mallory is one of Maine's brightest and most talented up and coming singer/songwriters. Her heartfelt lyrics, catchy upbeat music, and ability to relate to an audience are truly refreshing.
Jessi realized her potential at her high school talent show in 2000 when she performed and received a standing ovation. No one even knew that she knew how to play a guitar.
Reaction to her was quick and positive from the community. She started recording her originals and selling them at shows. More and more, her songs were being requested not only at her shows, but on local radio stations.
As requests for her piled up at different radio stations throughout Maine, Jessi began performing live on these programs from northern Maine to southern Maine.
Jessi has performed at hundreds of locations throughout New England, and has even performed at the Hard Rock Café in Atlantic City & the Hard Rock Café in Boston, promoting her music. Her song "This Time" held a number three spot for four weeks and a number one spot for 8 weeks on UK Radio.
Jessi often performs for benefits, fundraisers, and festivals that she believes in. A few are:
-Equality Maine -Lesbian Radio All-Star Show Fundraiser -Northern & Southern Maine Pride -RockStock, fundraiser for Veterans -Positively Social Retreat-HIV Positive Retreat.
Jessi’s fan base grows daily through her live appearances, radio airplay, and MySpace website. At her shows you see a good mix of young and old alike.
No one song on her CD sounds like the previous track. There truly is something for everyone in Jessi’s music. Her heartbreaking lyrics are offset with her ability to write upbeat music. Her music is very relatable and fun. With or without a band, Jessi will keep you entertained.
As an entertainer, Jessi has a great sense of humor and often times gets her audiences directly involved in her show. She talks with them, lets them shout out whatever they want, jokes with them, lets them dance onstage …
She’s a powerful singer and compelling songwriter that captures your heart with her down to earth nature. She’s very humble and loves to interact with her audience. You’re sure to fall in love!
