Film Soundtrack
In late 2008, Courting Condi, a wonderful docu-comedy-musical (yes, that's right) was released internationally at various acclaimed film festivals. Jess King penned 3 songs for this "entertaining and informative" film which follows lovestruck actor, Devin Ratray (Home Alone), in his quest to win the heart of US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice. Devin sets out on a journey across America with Emmy-nominated producer Sebastian Doggart (Project Runway), in order to learn more about 'Condi', and to eventually win her heart. Sure to provide a lot of laughs, live interviews, great original music (including songs by Steve Earle and Oscar-nominated Carol Connors, and Jess King!) - and even some advice from Devin's friend, Adrien Grenier (Entourage).
Brief Story
After recording her first EP with producer Steve Addabbo (Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Sonya Kitchell), Jess spent three months performing in Japan; a highlight of her stay was a compliment and hug from the legendary Stevie Wonder, who was drawn in by Jess' voice while eating dinner at a nearby restaurant. Stay tuned for her full album, due out in late Spring 2009. With many songs that will stay with you, this will be an album you'll be glad to have!

Blessings found this quote and Loved it:0 Love you also! Keep Jamin! Luv Blue Star Woman
Music 'To stimulate the knowledge of these Ideas by depicting individual things (for works of art are themselves always such) is the aim of all the other non-musical arts . . . [but] music, since it passes over the Ideas, is . . . quite independent of the phenomenal world, positively ignores it, and, to a certain extent, could still exist even if there were no world at all, which cannot be said of the other arts.' Arthur Schopenhauer.
