Current Projects
In August 2008, American Princess, a fantastic docu-comedy-musical (yes, that's right) will be released. Jess King penned 3 songs for this feature film which follows lovestruck actor, Devin Ratray (Home Alone), in his quest to win the heart of US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice. Devin sets out on a journey across America with Emmy-nominated producer Sebastian Doggart (Project Runway), in order to learn more about 'Condi', and to eventually win her heart. Sure to provide a lot of laughs, great original music, live interviews, and even some advice from Devin's friend, Adrien Grenier (Entourage). Jess is also working on other exciting projects, and recording regularly; please stay tuned for upcoming information on releases and news.
Performances
Jess King is currently performing regularly at New York City's Caffe Vivaldi, a wonderfully intimate venue for her music. She is generally there every other Tuesday. She's also involved in helping fundraise for Barack Obama, through participating in various musical fundraising events for his campaign. Last Year
In early 2007, Jess recorded an EP, “Love Me Back” with producer Steve Addabbo (Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Sonya Kitchell), released in June. After recording, she spent three months performing in Japan; a highlight of her stay was a compliment and hug from the legendary Stevie Wonder, who was drawn in by Jess' voice while eating dinner at a nearby restaurant.
