Jessy Vera is a contemporary worship leader from Sacramento, CA. With his soulful voice and his heart for ministry, God has quickly grown this young man into an anointed force in worship leading.
After giving his life to Christ at a youth conference in Colorado, Jessy has devoted his life to serving the King of Kings. He has been a part of worship teams in the Sacramento area since 1999 and is currently serving on staff full time as Next Generation Worship Leader at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. God has called him and his family here to focus on music ministry full time.
In the summer of 2004, Jessy released his first full length worship album featuring 11 original songs written and performed by himself. With the help of producer Ralph Stover (Plus One, Maranatha praise band, Peculiar People Band), Jessy created a powerful body of work similar to such worship leaders as Matt Redman, David Crowder, Martin Smith of Delirious, and Chris Tomlin. The CD, entitled A Thousand Tongues, is intensely passionate and reaches into the soul of the listener. Jessys heart and his style break down the generation gap, attracting people of all ages, as his lyrics challenge them to worship God in honesty and truth.
As well as original music, Jessy is also experienced in leading hundreds of other worship songs such as God of wonders, Now that Youre Near, Better is One Day, My Glorious, and Here I am To Worship. Traveling with his own worship band or solo, Jessy has led conferences and services for all ages throughout the United States and Mexico. He considers it an honor to be used in such a powerful way as he ushers the church into the presence of God.

Pretty cool. Going to Rensselaer PolyTech (in NY) in the fall. Majoring in Physics. Right now my family and I are going to First Baptist and we really love it there. It's AP testing week this week, so things are kinda hectic, but we only have three weeks left!! Whooo!!!!
Hey you- I haven't talked to you in a while, so I thought I would say hi. I met a couple huge fans of yours this year and when I told them I knew you they were like "NO WAY!" and I was like, "yeah..."
Anyway, thought I would pop by and say hi. How's life?
Thanks for coming to Refuge Rock. You are awesome! We really enjoyed the acoustic night with you and Dave Paris opening for you. God has truly blessed you with your guitar playing and your voice. Hope to have you back.
JESSY!!!! It's been too long my friend, I'll confess I haven't had much time this semester to keep up with the ol' social networking sites. (Engineering has a way of ruthlessly devouring every last scrap of time in one's life... along with every scrap of compassion, love, friendship, etc...) In all seriousness, though, I miss your socks off!
btw, you need to listen to the album "The Cost" by "The Frames", I just randomly picked it up cuz it looked interesting, but it's the guy from Once's band, and the whole album reminds me of what you said about the song "Rescue" (that you love songs that start of slow, steadily build, and explode powerfully).
The funny thing is though, that I put them up ya know because I love the music, but I was also kind of thinking, I wonder if anyone is gonna actually listen to these and say something about them...hmmm. And not even an hour after I put them up, I get a comment from you.
No let me explain. Ok so I love those songs, the two from Achtung Baby, because that CD is amazing, as you know. And for the longest time I've wanted to have them on my page, but no music page I found had them, and now U2's profile has every U2 song every on it to add, so I got my way today! And it's just a giant coincidence that I put them up today.
Hey Jessy! I just wanted to tell you that im at Azusa Pacific this year and I love it so much =]] thank you thank you for the letter of recommendation. you are amazing!
I'm pretty excited that I'll be in California in August, so I'll see the last show. So here are my requests, "sing like you wrote it" if that isn't played I'll boo. I also think you should bust out Humbleman, back to the roots a little. I know Chris knows that solo. I'm almost done with Lost season 2, what did you say I had to watch or read before going on?
