THE PRAYER OF JESUS FOR HIS OWN: JOHN 17:11-19
Christ does not pray that the disciples might be rich and great in the world, but that the disciples might be kept from sin, strengthened for their duty, and brought safe to heaven. The prosperity of the soul is the best prosperity.
He pleaded with his Holy Father, that He would keep them by His power and for His glory, that they might be united in affection and labors, even according to the union of the Father and the Son.
He did NOT pray that His disciples should be removed out of the world, nor that they might escape the rage of men, nor that they would not go through tough times, nor that they wouldn’t face opposition, nor that they wouldn’t be tested, because He himself had been through these things and He had trained His disciples for a great work, a work for the glory of God, and the benefit of mankind.
Jesus prayed that the Father would keep them from the evil, from being corrupted by the world, that no sin would remain or take up a place in their hearts; and He prayed that they would be kept from the power and craft of Satan so that they might pass through the world, the enemy's country...just as He had done.
They are not left here to pursue the same objects as the men around them, but TO GLORIFY GOD, TO SHOW MANKIND THE CHRIST, THE RISEN SAVIOR, and TO SERVE THEIR GENERATION!
The Spirit of God, in a true follower of Christ, is opposed to the spirit of the world; and the spirit of this world is opposed to the disciples. All true believers are disciples of Christ, kings and priests, joint heirs with Christ, Sons and Daughters of the Living God.
He prayed: "Sanctify them, set them apart - make them HOLY by Your Truth. Teach them Your Word, which is Truth! Just as You sent Me into the world, I am sending them in to the world. And I give Myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by Your Truth!"

I am a part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed." I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I’ve stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His.
I won’t look back, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals!
I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by patience, live by prayer, and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is tough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, pander at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I am a disciple of Jesus. I won’t Give up, Shut up, Slow up until I’ve Preached up, Prayed up, Stored up, and Stayed up for the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops. And when He comes to get His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me . . . my colors will be clear!

Taking that first step, Come on, You can do it!! Hi. How are you doing? I'm doing well. I wanted to share what the Lord spoke to me about childlikeness again. I know within my own life, there are some things that I believe He wants me to be involved in. But when it gets down to it, I back down, many times, thinking, what if this happens, etc. The Lord showed me a picture in my mind of my granddaughter, standing up against the couch. You can see in her eyes that she really wants to try and walk and take that first step, and then looks around, and then falls to her knees and goes ahead and crawls. She has a little fear left that she needs to overcome. We call to her, saying, Come on Jaydin, you can do it! As she is, so we can be. Jesus is saying, come on Kelly, take that first step, you can do it!! Don't let fear keep you from your destiny! He wants us to trust Him. Oh, by the way, the Lord spoke this to me last night. And guess what! Today she took 4 steps!! Then, I also noticed, when she got tired, because we kept trying to coax her again and again, she would just fall into our arms. What a picture, huh? Happy Fathers Day to you all.... To my brothers fathers or not, once upon a time you called someone dad and perhaps he has passed on for that I can feel your pain because my dad passed away at the age '52' Congestive Heart Failure. Just as myself my parents divorced when I was 17 years old. Some of my friends had no dad at all.
For my sistas, we have played that roll of mommy & daddy to our children, I know because by my third child I was divorced, but married again soon after to a man who loved my '3' as his own until they became grown. My brothers had no children, but my children were able to call them daddy too. It takes a village this is true.

Unfortunately, we sometimes make mistakes that for various reasons cannot be corrected, and we have no choice but to live with the consequences. When this happens, the best we can do is not to make the situation worse by committing additional sins, Adding wrong to wrong never makes anything right....
God did not turn against and abandon Joshua and the Israelites because of the mistake they made and neither does He turn against and abandon us because we fail Him in some way. Only those who persist in willfully rejecting God and refuse to repent, are finally abandoned by Him to the fate they have chosen for them selves..
God is faithful to help believers who seek Him....
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:7,8(kjv)
