David and Lee had hit rock bottom, the people were saying it was over - but they did not and would not believe. They drank and played guitars alone into the night until a lonely girl heard and approached. She was called Rebecca, she had a glass of Red wine and a drum kit called Leila …. Then we thought there was a band. The band was something but was always destined to be nothing without the electronic decoration it craved and desired - so we prayed, we waited…………..and waited. Then when not one of us was looking she arrived - the girl with long dark hair, red lips and a small electronic music box - Pandora.
Then we knew it was not over, the people were wrong - it had begun.
This band is called Jesus Stole My Girlfriend, we are two boys and two girls we are the Indie ABBA. We are on a mission from our hut we share in the fishing town of Hull in North East of England. We are a refreshing cocktail for your ears. Made of two parts indie, one part disco with a dash of garage and crushed electronic ice. We do not sing about love but recall fables of broken men and scarlet women. Remember we are all robots, we do not think with our hearts, we are machines, we are the mangled parts of broken dreams - forced together. we invite you to dance in our robot show.
