Jeticus is a 4 piece band based in the small village of Yoxall, close to Burton-on-Trent, near Derby, their music is a blend of Funk and general Rock music which creates a feel good, sing-along sound, pleasing to the ear for most people, but without losing the harder rock edge. It has been said that their music feels like a fusion of electricity and water which keeps you buzzing for a long time after.
The 4 songs posted on here are just a sample of what Jeticus can do, their songs vary a lot, with new, original, material being written all the time. The type of music has been named "Barez Attic Funk" whether that will stick or not, time will tell. The attic part comes from the fact that the "magic" happens in an attic. We are pretty lucky we have a large rehearsal space in Ed's attic, and it really helps us to get in the zone, maybe it's the altitude up there, all the way at the top of a 3 or 4 story house, i can never work it out, because there are just so many stairs.
The band is currently working on new songs and hunting around for gigs in and around the Derby area, but also around the Midlands, and maybe even further afield.

About the Author
Martin Faulks has been a student of the oriental martial arts since he was five years old. He has a black belt in the Korean martial art, Kuk Sool Won and is proficient in the mystical disciplines of China including Tai Chi, Meditation, Qi Gong and the legendary form of Yi Jin Jing.
