Living the Straight Jacket Life.. Bryan Lee launches a twisted, solo-flight journey into what Radio Free Abattoir describes as a pathology of electronics with SNUTTOCK. The darker edge of underground synthpop-loving literary rags praise SNUTTOCK for this one-man band's smoothly disciplined, innovative, and unsullied debut title, Straight Jacket Life, co-produced by Christopher Lee Simmonds (Thought Industry, Filter, Good Charlotte, Jimi's Chicken Shack, Marcy playground, Hell Mary, Bullhead), who also contributes generously to the album as a guest musician. Technical globetrotting, hot on the heels of this head turning seminal release, Lee revisits Simmonds' studio to focus upon remixes spun from additional creative infusions woven into entirely new songs destined to grab abundant interest from both fans and critics alike.
Let's stop the elevator now in between floors, pressing forth a few inquiries. Take a listen as Lee and Simmonds respond..
Now that the debut CD dust has settled, what is on the horizon for SNUTTOCK?
Bryan Lee: For the immediate future... the remix disk (entitled Carved and Sutured)... Beyond that... to get Snuttock into as many ears as possible, while working on a new CD. --> read MORE!
Artwork by Michael Riley, as exhibited within issues 17 & 18 of Gothic Beauty magazine, also graces the cover of SNUTTOCK's Straight Jacket Life?
LEE: ... After seeing his artwork, I was convinced that he could present the visual "Snuttockian" image... --> read MORE!
Carved and Sutured?
LEE: ...will be much more "Dance floor" oriented than Straight Jacket Life, containing some great remixes by C. Lee Simmonds (AKA Bullhead), Roy Brown (AKA dj retrofit / red this ever: redthisever.net), and Kevin Duffy (AKA DjK: 24productions.net/k).
LEE: It was December 30th, 2002, I walked into Guitar Center in Towson Maryland intent on buying a Roland 18 track digital recorder. The first salesperson I spoke with said I should wait and talk to this guy that would be right back from the stock room. Apparently this guy was a whiz with digital recording equipment and could answer all my questions. Well, that turned out to be the best advice I've ever gotten from a salesperson, as the guy was Chris Simmonds, and the rest is history (in the making)! --> read MORE!

[Seattle, WA] SMP weaves electronic rock music with potent doses of elemental industrial and cyber-punk blended with old school rap'rock attitudes decidely political and apocalyptic by design. SMP-LIVE-SHOWS deliver furious percussion, knawing and biting guitar riffs, visionary cyber-punk vocals rappin' thru a mess of electro-industrial infusions buffeting every audience like a foundry welder's wet dream made most vibrant, brilliant, and interactive. At present, SMP toils relentlessly away at a FIFTH new album release (entitled: THE TREATMENT) amid dank dungeon-like bunkers deep beneath the surface of the USA-Northwest's most capital of citadels, now further supported by the guidance and supervision of legendary music producer and programmer, WADE ALIN.
Well-known for both back-to-back and in-YO-face regional and national music tours, SMP is certain to also be gearing up for life on the road once again. Fans, Booking Agents, and anyone interested in learning more about Seattle-based SMP can reach out and explore new music audio and video options at both the music HOMEPAGE of Sounds of Mass Production and the band's MySpace.com music PROFILE page.

Genre Specific areas of interest would not be limited to, and yet would include the following musical interests and styles:
Industrial, Punk, EBM, Elektro-Gothic, Deathrock, Goth Metal, Symphonic Metal music, brain-cell-incinerating noise, coldwave, darkwave, ethereal, fairy music, straight-up Rock 'n' Roll, Space music, dope fiend trance induced ballads, i.e. stoner rock, classical rock, classical music, operatic music, sinister soul scrapings and wailings such as from artists like:
JULIAN TULIP'S LICORICE
Jarboe, The Swans, COLLIDE, This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance... obviously, I also appreeciate Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, and even pop music crap like The Cure, The Clash, Culture Club, Dead Milkmen, Dead Kennedys, Dead on Arrival...

Isn't YOUTUBE just the best thing to happen since sliced bread?
A friend of mine here at MySpace.com today passed me a link to:
This link comes to me at just the right time as it helps to illustrate a point I made just the other day when providing feedback to a new music artist that had sent to me media kit, done up just the right way, I might add.
To share the significance of my point about the passion of Concrete Blonde, allow me to share and read on if you will a couple of excerpts of my feedback responing to that audition...
============================================
The vocals need a little professional massaging in an effort to focus on a more natural fluidity. The passion is there, that's clear, but the effect is sometimes choppy and overly regulated by the beat instead of the beat matching the path of the vocals. You've got the strict regimentation down, now relax it back a bit and let it flow.
Remember that for the audience, this is not a rehearsal, and this is not a marching band. This needs to be everything you hear in your minds before you step up to the stage. If your recorded performance falls short of matching the purpose, passion, and seamless elegance of your muse, then you've missed the point.
Make it seem natural, like you just had something to say, so you stepped up on stage, and you let it all out.
It's got to seem like a seamless piece of your soul, otherwise, it's just another formula developed by just another arm of the music industry.
=============================================
At the time, I had a few other successful male-vocals driven bands in mind to support the above argument.
Any Concrete Blonde track ever recorded and performed would completely serve as a perfect example, though.
So, if you want to know what fluidity of vocalised passion looks and feels like, then check out Concrete Blonde doing (any song) a cover of a well-known blues-riddled ballad written by Mr. Leonard Cohen (from the album entitled, 'I'M YOUR MAN').

Netflix.com allows UPTO 5o friends in a friends network.
What that does is it allows friends in that network to post messages about movies they've seen, recommending or discouraging the rental of a given netflix film title. It also allows friends in the network to see what ratings that you've given to those movies and so forth.
If you are already a Netflix subscriber, then you already know about the FRIENDS option, no doubt.
If so, then I'm inviting YOU to include me in your friends list so that we can exchange recommendations and discuss the films and such.

SONYA BROWN: When Portugal's most beloved dark rock export unleashed a new album entitled Darkness and Hope, Gothic Beauty Magazine invited Sonya Brown to conduct an interview with Fernando, lead vocalist and face-man of Moonspell (GB Issue 4). By the time that Gothic Beauty Issue 8 hit the streets, Brown had settled into the comfy chair of GB Music Editor. Brown's skills as a music writer initially flourished amid an appreciative audience of music enthusiasts with an insatiable appetite feeding from the Columbia riverbanks of InMusicWeTrust.com. In addition to the litany of impressive articles penned for Gothic Beauty magazine subscribers, Brown has also swung a mighty sword for Starvox.net, SickAmongthePure, Musicwerks.org, and VanguardWeekly.com's only featured music column appearing bi-weekly in a printed publication distributed to hundreds of retail stores, service counters, and news stands throughout Vancouver, Washington. Brown’s eclectic interest in modern music dates back for many tired and dusty, old decades. Brown boasts often of two beautiful and uniquely talented daughters now spreading their wings and taking flight; and she now shares a suburban home near Portland, Oregon with music publicist, editor, and marketing consultant, Jett Black, and their loveable poo-dog chihuahua named Osiris.

Creepy Halloween music so scary that nightmares become inevitable. Mood-setting music CDs shown below provide the perfect atmosphere to accompany all those spidery cobwebs and plastic skeletons.
MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE:
The 13th hour The ultimate Halloween soundtrack blending Midnight Syndicate's signature gothic orchestration, 80's-influenced horror movie music and chilling sound effects that draw you into the halls of a haunted Victorian mansion with a sinister history. The premiere producers of original Halloween music worldwide, Midnight Syndicate has defined the gothic/horror soundscape genre and redefined the Halloween music industry. Their unique blend of dark orchestral movie-style instrumental music and carefully crafted sound effects makes their "soundtracks for the imagination" truly interactive listening experiences, earning them a diverse worldwide following in the gothic music, Halloween, horror music, haunted attraction, and gaming industries.
Gothic/horror soundscape CDs - haunting orchestral symphonies from the crypt. Perfect for Halloween. Unleash your darkest nightmares as you enter the world of the Vampyre. Echoing from ancient crypts, these haunting symphonies call forth the horror, mystery, and passion of the night.
If you like Lord of the Rings or Jurassic Park, then you'll love this ominous hour-long soundscape (it brings you there). Perfect for Halloween, "Haunted World" offers an alternative and cinematic ambience, without pause or 'traditional' seasonal sfx. In this hour-long continuous soundscape, creatures and monsters are mixed together with spirits and ghosts. Some are huge, some are small. Sometimes they are near, other times they are miles away. Haunted World is a blend of both music and sound, with a balance of suspense and surprise.
Not Your Party Store Silly Sound Effects CD. This CD Has Dark Cinematic Soundscapes That Haunt Your Soul. Great For Fans of Haunted Attractions, Gothic / Horror Fans, Halloween Enthusiasts, and Fans of Original Score Music. PETRUCCELLI credits the early stage of his film scoring career to the Haunted Attractions Industry, grateful for the chances provided to create these chilling soundscapes.
With an original sound influenced by the greats such as the Misfits, Type O Negative, The Doors and Black Sabbath, and crooning vocals with twisted psychopathic lyrics, there is something here for everyone to love (or hate if you are a sissy). If you are a fan of horror movies or other forms of the macabre, you will love Ivan and the Necrolyte's original style and catchy sound. Who are these Necrolytes, you ask Unlike most of the horror bands I have met, Ivan and the Necrolytes are the real deal, they live and breath the evil horror lifestyle. Their lyrics are frightenly real and are not for the faint of heart or easily offended! To best describe Ivan's lyrics and vocal style would be to picture a combined reincarnation of The Door's Jim Morrison, Vincent Price and Elvis Presley! The Necrolytes are some of the creepiest guys (and gal) you'll ever meet, but god damn they make the coolest and most original horror music in the genre, all without even a trace of egomania that seems so rampant in the scene today. Plain and simple, the Necrolytes are a horror band that is so real and evil that it SCARES the other horror bands to death!
Enter the Dark Tower where creatures of the night lurk in shadows and ghostly sounds echo through the halls. This gothic soundtrack contains chilling sound effects, haunting melodies, and pulse-pounding orchestrations to set the mood for your darkest nightmare. Venture forth...if you dare. This 1998 release garnered Midnight Syndicate an underground following in the U.S. and abroad. Featuring the unique blending of dark, classical orchestration and sound effects that became the staple sound of the band, the CD served as a introduction to Midnight Syndicate's "cinefusion - soundtracks for the imagination" concept. Gothic in the most classical sense. Perfect for Halloween.
This is the story of The Necro Tonz, the world's first death lounge band, singing songs by bands who are dead, songs about death and their own spooky originals. Purrrr-fect for Halloween. Welcome to their cocktail hell. Accompanying the glamorous Necrophelia Diva of the Dead are Gloo (upright bass), Smilin Jack the Ripper (hollow-body guitar), Mike the Mangler (sax, flute, vocals) and Count Rockula (drums). If the local cocktail bar or the Bates Motel needs a house band...
An eerie, mysterious and sometimes frightening gothic ambient soundscape that's perfect for a dark evening with a creepy novel or anticipating next Halloween. Having been inspired by the gothic works of Midnight Syndicate, Dead Can Dance, James Bernard's classic Hammer Horror film scores, Danzig and Disney's Haunted Mansion, Short thinks of his compositions as soundtracks to films that never existed. Just like scores to films that stand on their own outside of the films they were composed for these soundscapes transport the listener to dark and foreboding places.
This 60 minute CD is a ghoulish grab-bag of sound and story. Perfect for Halloween or anytime you need your spine chilled! Hear classic monster movie trailers daring you to attend the cinematic creepshows coming soon to your local theater! Take a stroll through haunted soundscapes filled with frightening audio effects and macabre music! Curl up next to a warm cauldron and listen as a suspenseful old-time radio show materializes before your very ears! Plus...a bonus MYSTERY TRACK! You may want to leave the lights on!
Enter a world of fear and terror as Little Evil Things, Volume III continues the award-winning series of original horror stories with contemporary music and effects, featuring the world renowned Moscow Symphony Orchestra! Modern music accompaniment make scary movies for your head with bold, eclectic music for your ears. It's this perfect marriage of words and music that envelopes the listeners and transports them to a nightmarish world with a touch of ghoulish humor.
Venture forth to the Realm of Shadows where restless spirits arise from unknown depths to wander the shores of night. Midnight Syndicate blends haunting orchestrations and sinister sound effects to create a dark, gothic soundscape. Dim the lights, but take heed... What the darkness conjures, the night harbors. Midnight Syndicate's follow-up album to "Born of the Night." This album features the 51 minutes of dark, classical orchestration and sound effects that made the band a rising international force in gothic and classical-crossover pop music today. Gothic in the most classic sense - perfect for Halloween.
