    The word "Uirapuru" is the name of both an actual Amazonian bird and a
    mythical creature. In the rain forest the bird Uirapuru sings once a
    year, when it builds its nest; even then, only from five to ten minutes

    beautiful that all other birds stop singing to listen to it. Yet in

    Not bad.  Took my daughters to breakfast, then roller skating.  My youngest (almost 5) FINALLY plucked up enough to skate without holding my hand.  She did great, and eventually her and her sister (almost 9) did some speed skating around the rink, leaving me behind.

    Been here tagfooting for a while, then doing some family tree research on a relative who was a painter and illustrator in the 1920's and 1930's.  Found a couple of nice paintings that had been up for auction, plus a handful of antique books that he illustrated up for sale.   Might be nice to have some to add to my collection ( I have a few paintings/sketches).
