Jez, if you don't mind a perhaps invasively personal question: Do you _always_ wear shirts with bold horizontal stripes when you perform? If so, is there some deep-seated reason for this? Anything you want to talk about? Really, it's OK, you're among friends...
See you at Old Songs!

Dear Jez Lowe,

Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...

When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...

Love can drive... in a simple way... everything

We are connected

Estimada/o Jez Lowe,

Estamos conectados...

Jez hey, we're here to ask you a favour. We're a young folk band who've recently recorded our first demo and put it on MYspace. As you know, pretty much all young folk bands need quotes from other more established artists to get ahead in the folky world and get some gigs. And to be honest, there's no-one much more established than you or the Bad Pennies!! WE don't have many contacts in the folk world and we would realllly appreciate it if you could pop over and take a listen and perhaps give us a quote we can use. we feel our sets get better as they go on so we encourgae people to not just listen for a minute and make their judgement!

David Franks: Walkabouts Verse

Apr 9 2009 11:41 AM

(Hi - enjoyed my visit)

Poem 96 of 230: PARADIGMS

“Thirty-all” is, in effect, “deuce”;
Nobody has seen an “atom”:
An atom remains a model;
“Thirty-all” an umpire’s call.
“They we just simply had to bomb”;
And there are other given “truths”...

If we humans evolved from apes,
Why on earth are there living apes?

From WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog)
