Lately R&B artist J.Long is really making a name for himself in the music industry! With more than 8 years of grinding, some success & some let downs the young but very talented singer, song writer, producer, actor has finally found his nitch. Being in several groups, and being signed to several different labels that all failed to complete the journey of the destination to success, J.Long thought success for him would never come. "Coming from where I come from not many people make it out the hood unless you play football, and growing up all I was surrounded by was negativity. By J.Long saying he wanted to be a singer in his hood, people would laugh and shoot his dreams down telling him it would never happen". J.Long at the age of 17 was signed straight out of high school to ISOH Entertainment. ISOH was owned by NBA superstar Steve Fracis. After a year of sitting on ISOH Entertainment. Steve Fracis was traded to another team & the deal went sour. J.Long quotes "I came to realize nobody was going to do anything for me and I had to do it myself". J.Long & Jacob Jihngree (President of J.Fam Music) started J.Fam Music Inc. (a independent record label) in 2004 and haven't looked back since. J.Long has a strong fan base (young & grown, male and female) that's growing by the second. He's on billboards through out his surroundings. He's been featured in a fair share of magazines. He's been featured on Fox News. He's been on countless hip hop video tv shows His single Personal Freak off his first album GIRL LISTEN hit the Billboard Charts & peaked at 4, He's also he known for putting on a real good concert. With four independant cd's (all of them doing outstanding numbers) and a high quality music video under his belt, his buzz is really picking up. J.Long quotes "I dare you to listen to me, but I must warn you if you don't want to get hooked to good music don't listen"!
